Hey Folks: Just completed installation of PCCM + unit in my 2003 Porsche Boxster S. This installation was a bear to say the least. Took me over 15 hours! Anyway I was a little disappointed that the unit does not support playing IPOD thru USB port. Can play thru ASUX port but I don't get any visual of song, artist or album art. BOOO!
The question I have, is the installation instructions (Aug 31, 2020 version), page 6 of 12 calls for needing adapter cable 986.642.573.00 if I have a antenna amplifier. Not sure why I need this. I plugged in the existing antenna plug that was behind radio and I get good reception. Although I only need to have volume set at 3.
Why is this adapter needed? Any help would be appreciated!
