Three Wheelin'
Cerakote headlights and leatherique
Had an awesome day yesterday at the cars and coffee Katy Texas Freddy’s cafe actually 5 996s, a lot of times is just me. Two coupes 4s, a cabrio, a gt3 and mine. Anyway when I went home I decided to look the car over, coolant oil, etc. Then, I used the cerakote kit on the headlights, pretty good results. Previously I was using the meguiars product but the cerakote kit is way better. I’ll see now how long it last. Then I did the front seats with the leatherique kit my wife got me for Christmas. Look pretty good yesterday, I may apply some more leather rejuvinator today. Finally last night we had a club dinner at Maggianos great food and more friends. Our region Lone star is extremely active, so these events can be awesome as the last two have been.
Walmart had it at $11.99 which is a great price. I bought two kits.
Three step process
Leatherique is just an awesome product

Yes, soon it will.
It passed the TX Safety & Emissions test yesterday.
I registered it first thing this morning, so now it's legal to drive on the street in TX.
Next I'm changing it's insurance to Haggerty.
Mainly because I can declare the value I believe it is worth, and second because of the "cherished salvage" option.
Even if the car is totaled I'm guaranteed a buy-back and could put the FSI Stage 2 engine in another 996.
The insurance will cost more, a LOT more, but I believe it is worth it...to me.

$55K declared value + Cherished Salvage from Hagerty: ~$2K
Obviously I knew my rate would go up since I declared such a high value.
I can justify the value with the brand new engine.
I just submitted my application with Hagerty, so we'll see what happens in underwriting.

Hey Squirrel I believe Porsche insurance is available in Texas . Might want to check them out . I have their insurance on both of my Porsche's . Agreed value and they only allow OEM Porsche parts for repairs .

My 997.2 FSI with $80k declared value and my 996.2 4s with $50k declared value cost me approx. $1,500/yr total with Hagerty, and that's in NJ with stupid high insurance rates.
