Can you recommend lift bars? I hadn't considered them, because the ones I looked at were designed for the u shaped jackstands, and I have flat top ESCO 3 tons. I've been jacking my car up by the end of the stressed member that runs side to side in front of the engine, and then placing jackstands at the jack point. I hope I'm not bending anything, sure seems ok. My low profile back just squeezes in on an angle behind the rear wheel...

Yes, you need the Esco axle stand tops to work with the PorKen bars. I failed to mention that because I was incorrectly recalling my Esco stands came with both flat and curved risers. But those lift bars work great!
Use flat tops for mid-bar as safety stop device.

I used jack stands without an problems for decades.
Then in April 2020 I have an incident and decided to buy a QuickJack.
I still own the jack stands, but use my QuckJack unless the vehicle weighs more than 5000#.

Same but ended up with the 7k model because my Touareg is a hefty 5000lb.
I worked on jackstands for decades too, but the last big job I did told me that my body just doesn't want to do all that up/down stuff anymore. I'm happy to have a lift.
Sorry to hear about this. I'm not sure what you mean by "puck adapters" -- were they the kind that lock into place like the ones below? It's worth getting locking pucks if you don't have them already.
My jack adapters are the same shape as those above, but are all one material, they don't have the metal inserts (btw - do you have a source for those?)

The black and white contrast is awesome. Did you paint the whole car?? I need to at least respray my front bumper and around the engine lid where my ducktail is the clear is gone also. I’m trying to live with the Pitina but who knows I really like Mexico blue. I drove mine today, went to HEB got some fresh made butter tortillas and a case of Miller lite. Damn that 99 is such a blast to drive, I only went 110 today to much traffic, the silver surfer is running like a champ.

Are these deep enough to work with a quick jack without using the QJ rubber blocks? That would be really handy.
