went for a rip
ordered some General tires because I'm a cheap *** and decided its not worth springing for the PS4s this time
I had PSS on my C5 and always regretted spending so much money on them because its totally pointless for my driving and skill level
more money for mods this way

How much were the Generals? I took a risk and got Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's (~$750 with tax) and honestly have been happy with them. Still breaking in so don't have complete traction, but some of the twistier roads have still been able to pedal pretty hard and felt confident in the grip.

I bought a folding bike (Dahon) that fits nicely in the back seat. Now I don't have to take my wife's SUV when I want to ride my bike on the boardwalk at Jones Beach. (Bought a bag/cover for it so no worries about scratching the leather)

Just got my car back today from my indy after my second visit in two months. Going thru my second 10 year refresh of key parts to keep it running in top shape.
The first visit in March was to look inside the sump and engine for debris and scoring. Happy to say engine is in excellent shape with smooth bores, clean sump without bits and debris and clean oil.
Also replaced engine mounts and fuel injectors since I had accumulated a new set of injectors over the year and thought there was no better time to replace. Coils, plugs, oxy sensors, MAF, water pump and coolsnt tank were all relatively new. Went thru brakes and suspension components as well.
The second visit was over the past few weeks, where the engine was dropped and we did the important stuff for engine longevity. Replaced my Porsche motorsports AOS with the UAOS Track version (see picture). Also replaced LNE IMS Retro with a new Retro, new RMS, new oil cooler and new low temp thermostat.
In addition, had my Guard LSD rebuilt, went thru the water cooling system with a fine tooth comb, and had them perform an alignment to make sure it was still set to GT3 specs. My wallet is much lighter but the car and I are very happy knowing the key parts are new and risk of engine failure is once again mitigated.
Car waiting for me in the rain.
Damn good looking engine with new UAOS.
Engine was just dropped.
Another view of UAOS
New oil cooler
Had to rebuild LSD
All in all, a very good day.

GC thanks for sharing. My cars going in this June for the UAOS with the drain back- Skip is sending it out my way as we speak. Finally doing a fresh DT-40 oil change next week and getting the car on the road- works been eating all my time. Did all of the same items you did this year- last year when my engine was dropped. Literally spaced out and missed the water pump- it is about 7.5 years old, so that’s also being done when my cars in this June. Glad to see your progress and a clean bill of health for your car!

Thanks Sam-Son. The oil cooler isn't known as a problem like the aos, ims or rms, but the seals get old and their is a supposed possible intermix issue that is rumored to happen. So I figured why not replace it since the engjne was dropped just in case. Cheap part. $185 or so.
