Other than that, Im speculating the clutch may need swapped out in the next 5k. Hearing that unmistakable metallic noise at times when the clutch is engaged. But comes with the territory as I see it. I sold the winter wheel set to a new 996 cab owner upstate who's driving it as his daily. A gift to himself after his kids got through college. Pretty cool story. In turn I put the OEM 3 piece BBS sport design wheels back on with some nice Pirelli P-zeros. Woke the car up in the bends thats for sure! Swapped the amber corner lenses for the euro spec clear ones (OEM units, not knock offs). Freshened her up with black/blue coco mats for the front. Looks the business now. Not much more planned other than maintenance and some road trips before winter. Ill send some pics if you'd like.

I imagine your P cars are treating you well. I mean how couldn't they! Thats all I have at the moment. Hope all is well.

Jibran! Sorry for the delay. Just bought a house and have been quite busy...

The ol' 911 has been very kind to me so far. Had the front end suspension refreshed with new end links and bushings. That was the noise coming from the front end in case you were wondering. Brought it to a shop specializing in Porsches for 30+ years. Shop owner was pretty amazed at the mileage considering the condition. He looked it over personally found a small oil leak which he deemed "not a priority, they all leak!" Ha. Also said theres a spot where someone mustve jacked the car up improperly because the power steer lines are pinched. Again not effecting the drive but came up in his inspection. His conclusion, "doesn't need much. just drive it, enjoy it and keep the revs up!"

Just emailed you the report we discussed. I apologize for the delay. In the email, I did note that I would send you the borescope report separately, but I cannot seem to find the result report. It is possible they told me the results over the phone, but the shop DID confirm NO BORE SCORING of any consequence. They felt that any noises I had been concerned about were due to an improper oil weight, and the motor was running super smooth after I had them do an oil change with Porsche A40 recommended oil.

I only buy my cars from this dealer...on my third Porsche in 18 months and awaiting a fourth. I trust them. If they say the car is good to drive back to NJ, then it is likely good. One way or another, you will enjoy the car...that I am certain of!

My apologies for the late reply. Been extremely busy with work and family. I no longer have any of the factory stuff unfortunately. If I recall correctly, however, the factory shifter is in the frunk. Not sure about the wheels. I will send the report to you ASAP.

Congratulations!!! You are getting a great car. I had the car inspected by Midwest Performance immediately after my purchase, including a borescope. I can send you the report if you provide me with an email, but the crux of it is that the car is pretty healthy. I had purchased it with the intention of turning it into a track car (I also own a 2016 Cayman GTS that I am no longer tracking, because I am awaiting a 982 Spyder). That being said, my wife wanted me in a newer car and I wanted to experience PDK, so I traded the 996 in toward a 2018 911 Carrera. The 996 you are buying is pretty healthy, I commuted to the office with it for two weeks and never found any real fault with it. If anything, it may have a little slow speed brake judder...MPC thought it could use some fresh front rotors. Otherwise, there are small things (reverse light bulbs, things like that) that was detailed on their report. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I hope you enjoy it!
