I said $24 for two gallons of 104 race fuel, I like to run that when I only got 1/4 tank left so I can let it rip. With the discount , for shell v power 93 I probably I’m going to pay $4.50 a gallon tomorrow, I wonder how high Is in Illinois, last January 12, 2021 I went thru downtown Chicago, after picking up my car. Premium at a BP station was $4.59. When I got to my house here in Texas the shell that I use was $2.99. Illinois as a state taxes the hell out of people and they are broke, I’m extremely glad the dealer in Wisconsin where I bought my car gave it full to me. 100 💯 Percent disclosure, I honestly don’t care if gas is $10 a Gallon. I own a ton of COP,PSX, and XOM stocks. They make more money , I will make more too.

Thanks! I haven't had any issues lately but have taken it in the shorts a few times in the past. An interesting side note is that I got a quote from Rose Passion back in September and with shipping, it came out to $2,154.00 USD and this time around it was $1,844.00 USD. The downside is that it was shipped via FedEx. I have enough problems with FedEx shipping something across town so I can't wait to see what they do with a very large box coming from France. ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)

I used to live near a refinery and we had the most expensive prices in the state.
Being near the refinery isn’t always the best financially.
Now I live a across Houston from a refinery and 93 octane is “cheap” at $4.23 without any discount.
Californians with their special blends are going to be paying the most in the US, but nowhere near what the Europeans will.

Hi, I am thinking about installing wheel spacers on my 996 C4 (now converted to C2). Which thickness would you recommend? I don't want to go silly extra wide and impact the suspension geometry too much, just give the car a little more of a stance. 10mm in the rear and 7mm in the front? What are your thoughts?
Thank you.
Thank you.

If you are on stock wheels, most guys are running 10mm front and 15mm rear. Depending on your wheels and tire sizes, you can even do 15mm square or up to 20mm in the rear.

Ordered the TopGear 200 cell catted X-pipe on Monday from the UK, and it showed up here yesterday! Looks like a nice piece. I’ve been fighting some drone with my supercups, hopefully getting this installed next week will cut down on it a bit, we shall see! I don’t mind loud, I just hate drone!
If it’s not acceptable afterwards, I’m either pulling the Supercups and reinstalling my stock mufflers with a fister mod, or having J-pipe resonators added to the aftermarket exhaust. After measuring the frequency of the drone in prep for having the J-pipes installed, I realized that adding an X would likely move it around a bit, and I’d hate for the math to end up wrong if I added the X in the future, throwing things off. You can see here how pronounced the resonance is currently between 114hz and 148hz. Drives me nuts, like someone with a Tuba in the back seat!

Thank you.
The root cause of my issue was the slightly smaller (used) front tires. I ended up getting new tires on the front to match the recently replaced rear tires (having matched the brand/size the previous owner) and the symptoms have disappeared. Next time I buy tires - I'll look to get back to the 25 aspect if they can be found..

I have a 2004 C4S Cab and I began feeling some instability, I believe coming from the front right corner. Hard to describe, but the behavior presents itself on a higher speed (50+mph) sweeping left turns.
The first time I felt it, I thought I had a flat tire - but all tires were fine. It felt like the tire was slowing/sliding/understeer on a pulse/cadence like a CPR beat.
I'm not usually braking when I feel it, but the last time it occurred - I was decelerating on a freeway exchange ramp. Under braking, it seemed like the ABS was kicking in (faster pulse under my foot) - but I really don't think the tire was coming anywhere close to 'locking'
As for what I had done, mainly two things:
1) I completed a brake pad/rotor replacement on all four corners. I've double checked my install and confirmed the ABS and BrakePad sensors are plugged in securely.
2) I replaced rear tires, but I left the front tires alone (front still had 70%+ tread). The wheels are aftermarket on 19" wheels with a 235/35 on front and 305/30 on back. Rear tire had taken a screw and had significantly more wear.
I had the car taken for an alignment and nothing loose noted in the front end. Minor adjustments to bring the alignment within spec were made, but this didn't address the issue. The only item they couldn't adjust was the 'caster' angle. It was slightly out of 'spec', but I don't think it's related.
Right now, I'm wondering if I should replace the front wheels as well. I've noted a few threads on the forum where a bigger concern would be any damage to the front differential on the AWD components.
Otherwise, I might just need to enlist a specialist, I was wondering if anyone hear had some guidance on where to look or had any first hand experience with anything similar.

I have an AWD 996 with 19" wheels and those are the tires that came on it - and it drives beautifully.
What is needed for sizes that are non-stock is to match as close as possible the factory tire diameter. The front tires need to be a bit larger diameter than the rears to make the AWD work correctly.
The sizes I listed: 235/35-19 is 25.47" and the 315/25-19 is 25.28" which is perfect. The 305/30-19 is 26.3" - much too big, it needs to be smaller than the front.
