Yeah, I read Ahsai's write up. It looks pretty good but I'd need to buy that vacuum apparatus for $135 and I might never use it again. I want to see what an indy will charge for it and go from there. This may be one of those times where it would be more effective to just have it done.
Took my C4 Cab for a short drive before the next storm comes in tomorrow, despite the state's/region's "stay at home" order.
Maintained social (as well as safe driving) distance and didn't "technically" violate the order because I needed to fill the car w/gas. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Started AOS replacement project today. Called it a day with one upper hose and one lower hose to disconnect on the AOS. So close yet so far!
Does your new AOS have the bottom hose and clamp in place? If I can make a suggestion, there is a clamp pull ring tool that you can order from the dealer. It installed on the AOS bottom hose clamp, and once you get everything in place you simply pull the ring tool off the hose and it snaps it closed. So much easier than trying to get a clamp tool in that tight space.

thanks for the suggestion. Yes. I did order the pull ring clamp. Got the lower hose removed this morning. Just having trouble removing the AOS now. Seems the aos inlet to the block is my hang up.
I know it is a lot of work to get in there. Been there, done that. Congratulations! Don't you just love that cheap plastic contraption? When I replaced mine I was very reluctant to put the new one in there. Another cheap plastic piece of crap to replace the original cheap plastic piece of crap. Remember when the PCV valve was on the valve cover and you could replace it in minutes with a $7 PCV valve? I know it is a Porsche but that doesn't mean it has to involve tearing half the engine apart, which it does. Did I mention I hate the AOS?

agreed. Reluctant to put in a new piece of crap. On the bright side I know I can remove it. Hopefully I can put the new one in and button everything up.

I'm about to start to install my new AOS, with the UAOS kit. Can you post a picture of this tool as i may need to get one before it start. Thanks.
Fixed a weird frunk latch issue. I had the opposite issue as everyone, i couldnt get it to latch shut after filling it up at lowes. Luckily the frunk did not fly open at 50mph on the way home. Turns out the 2 bolts loosened so much the latch would not engauge. A little 10mm magic from inside the frunk and all fixed.
