Dropped my 2000 C4 Cab at the dealer to diagnose & fix the brake and fuel tank problems I'm having w/it.
No loaners available and didn't want to take a free Uber ride home & back to the dealer. So, I rented this Maserati Ghibli at the Enterprize located up the street.
Coulld have been cleaner but this is a big and seriously fast car that I found hard to keep under 90 on the way home. Most people just got out of the way when they saw it coming and those that didn't I passed in a flash.
A lot of fun to drive on the freeway. Not so sure that it would be as much fun to drive on the back roads but, if the car is in the shop long enough, I may give that a try. Expect to have it for at least a couple of days.
Is it under an extended warranty?
I can't imagine how much a dealer would charge for repairs.
What's their labor rate?
Nice looking Maserati.
No extended warranty. Shop rate is $210/hr.
Asked them to figure out why brake pedal travels so far and is so soft. Only thing not "new" in the brake system is the brake booster which could be the problem.
Also asked them to figure out why the fuel gauge is stuck on fuel and why I can't refill it w/o holding onto the gas nozzle; brief research suggests excess back pressue due to a faulty fuel line vent valve and/or fuel tank bleeder valve.
Estimate of 2 hours just to diagnose the problems. So, it's $420 to start and I'm ready to see a bill of up to $2k if they can figure out the source of the problems and fix them.
In the meantime, I'm just going to enjoy driving the Ghibli.
It's a beautiful color, it really changes depending on the light, I love it! here you go, hopefully i don't get banned for so many pictures, lol
Thank you!!! Hahaha you should just go for it, these wheels are amazing, on mine I have matte bronze not sure what would be the best color for your car though.
I'm gonna paint my spoiler btw.
Stop playing around and show us some full view shots with the front lip from the side and some different angles!
Drove mine for the first time in almost two weeks.
I went to pick up Schweinshaxe, Rotkohl, und Spätzle for dinner.

Escreation,
Beautiful cars, both 996 & RX7, must have been a fun drive in the canyon. May I ask what kind of front-bumper lip you have there? I would like to get something similar for my GT3 front bumper, hopefully it's not in CF. Thanks in advance, cheers,

Got my new cabriolet top installed on my 2001 C2 Cab and couldn't be happier... I decided to upgrade to the glass window and now have a real "three-season" car for the weather up here in Canada. New Image Auto Interiors did an awesome job! Thanks to all the Rennlisters for their recommendations.
I went to The Sauer Kraut Grill. (About 1 mile from my house)
My son worked/works there.
He is currently not working because my mother-in-law is having health issues and the doctor said if we want to care for her we need to isolate from everyone else.
If you ever make it to Fredericksburg, Ausländer or Der Lindenbaum are great places to eat.
