I've narrowed my choices down to two. Just ordered two new cans of paint.
Hmmm. "Impure Black" or "Angelic Silver"? Which will you choose?
Not trying to sway it any particular way mind you , just trying to impartially sum up the options.
Needless to say, you shouldn't care about what I or anyone else thinks. If you really want opinions though, you could photoshop wheel color options on photos of your car and create a thread with a poll.
What about the Titanium color that OZ uses? That seems like it would look awesome with your metallic blue paint.
Drove it to work today- quickly- with the windows down since it's finally cool in TX. Loved every second. What is it about our cars that make people drive like maniacs... Honda FIT, your car needs to just calm the frekk down already.

The link doesn't take me to what you intended. This happens with Tire Rack. There is enough information there to find it though. That color is not much different than the "Graphite" that Dupli-Color offers. Which is what I am going with.
Opinions are welcome, but there is no need for a poll. My mind is made up. I have to live with myself regardless of the decision...
The black was not applied properly to get full coverage. As you point out, the impure, is due to some of the chrome showing through. All of this experimental paint will need to be stripped off anyway when I prep the wheels for real. Still exploring options on removing the chrome, or at least scuffing it sufficiently to promote good adhesion.
By the way, this doesn't take you off my list, buddy.

You're right -- TireRack makes it impossible to link or even download/reference one of their photos. I edited the thread to use OZ racing link/photo.

Graphite should be great! This video might help with the Chrome -- discusses removing a chrome finish from BBS wheels and then applying Dupli-Color Graphite (not sure why he bothered with silver -- seems like a mistake since he went over it with graphite).
I've done other wheels using the Dupli-Color system. The results have been good. This is the first time I've had to deal with chrome plating. I will try the red! nozzle on my power washer and see if that does anything. Otherwise, I may need to find a specialist that provides a blasting service. I was actually surprised how effective my scuff was when I messed with it last night.
Sorry the angel/ devil stuff was lost on me. Glad you explained it though.
Beautiful fall day for doing some work in the garage. Put my spacers on, happy with the way they look. Also totally took one of the front wheels off, cleaned the hub up a bit and put the wheel back on without the spacer.
Yes, it is the bolt from hell. I couldn't get a socket it on it so I had to use an open end wrench and turn it 1 billionth of a turn, 20 billion times. Someone said you could use a thin wall socket on it. I'll try that the next time.

I'll let you in on a little secret. Don't tell anyone.
Use a 1/4" drive ratchet, a little u-joint adapter and a 10mm socket. Here's the secret - have at it from above (obviously the engine support plate needs to be loose from the engine).
In the meantime...glad to report that after several hot cycles....not a drop of coolant, no leaks...knock on wood.....but have needed to continually top off, as it continues to burp (driving around with the burp thingy up)
I also found out my driver side radiator fan is not cycling the slow speed...already ordered "el cheapo" 0.5ohm 100 Watt resistors from Amazon...they get home on Saturday...also ordered a new serpentine belt...I did not like the looks of the old one
