Went to a Wheels of NYC meet here in NYC yesterday — in Brooklyn Navy Yard. Great turnout and tons of great cars. Personal favorite was a British Racing Green E30 M3.
Photographer managed to get a great shot of me leaving:
My big snowflake button on the CCU had gone from finicky to intermittent to non-functional so I took it all apart, used a lot of Deoxit D5 (thanks for the tip @Jlaa ) and it is fully functional again!
is there a thread discussing removal and cleaning? I have the same issue with the MAX button. It’s been that way for the 20 years I’ve owned the car. It would be nice if it can be fixed.
^^^Hmmm, for me, it's the fan speed: The HVAC works exactly as it should, will absolutely get cold as before, but the fan speed is lower, nowhere near what it used to be. Will this ^^^ help me?

Tore Bergvill has some good info on diagnostics and disassembly. Look here:
Today I repaired the velcro seat back attachments on my hardback seats that had pulled off over time as the adhesive got all gummy and weird. I discovered that somewhere along the way a prior owner added some lumbar support foam pads in the seat shells that likely added strain on the velcro attachments. Not sure if I want to keep those in or not but for now I have left them in. With new velcro, it's a very simple process to remove them if I want to try.
On a 4-day road trip through the Vosges area (France) and the Black Forest (Germany)...
Home again. As I'm relatively new to Porsche (I've had my 993 for something like 6 months now) I have become utterly respectful for the design and build quality of these wonderful machines. After 4 days of pushing hard through twisty mountain roads, using full power over and over again, high in the revs, countless relentless up- and downshifts through the Tiptronic box, hairpins and hard braking, this 27-year old car performed flawlessly and didn't put a foot wrong in 2200 km's (that's 1,400 miles). This is just amazing and the car makes you feel incredibly confident.
Your comments bring to mind the saying that the quality of something is remembered long after the price is forgotten. Beautiful pics and welcome to the Porsche ownership community!

DM me a postal address and I’ll send you one of my 3” diameter “Tiptronics are people too” window stickers 😉
