Hi Ken, nice to hear from you! Around 13 years ago I started my own firm (as a damages expert witness) and we had two kids, so that together pretty much killed my car hobby and track days. I've only put 3,000 miles on the car since then! Ugh. But now that the kids are a bit older, and I'm seeing the huge $$$ value of our cars, I've decided to get mine back up to top shape and start driving it again. Which didn't really take much work since I've always stayed on top of any little issues as much as possible.

Thanks for the nice comments about my activity on Rennlist back then. I always really tried to help everyone and contribute to the community as much as possible, so it's really nice to see that was noticed.

    Best,
    Eric

    Hi,

I’m sorry that I missed your question, I’m not used to the set-up on this forum.

Thanks for the comment on the car. The car started its life as an 911 SC Targa from -83 (still registered as that). After it was involved in an accident only the front of the car was used (for the chassienumber) and welded together with the rear of an 911 Coupe Turbolook car from -85 (that had an accident in the front). At the same time all the outer panels were changed to OEM 993 panels. That's the short version of how the “Hulk” was born 

    Regards,
    Petter

I have not considered it. To be honest most don't seem very interested in the details. Let me think about it.

Ken, I have not heard back from the 2 others who said they wanted them. At this point it's first one who pays wins. If still interested my email is treeinc@gmail.com and cell is 207-266-4955. Let me know if you want them as I have a fellow supposedly coming by to see them at 1. Thanks.

Ha yes I have read up quite a bit. I've got Peter Morgan, a reputable specialist here in the UK to go and check it out for me so I can have some piece of mind.

    Hi Ken

Greetings from the UK I've just joined. I'm going to look at a 993 here in the UK with 150k on the clock. I cam here to find advice on high mileage and came across some of your threads. Having 212k on yours you've made me smile.

    Ken,

I had forgotten that I had posted regarding the distributor, and I didn't recall a brass plug. (Old age is hell.) Now that I have revisited that operation, going back to March, evidently, I recall that I did dremel the plug, the bearings did not need grease, so on reassembly I used two small dobs of JB Weld to secure the plug.
