I had been saving up for a while to buy a 993 turbo. As fate would have it while I was looking, my daily driver started having maintenance problems and I had to get another daily driver. So instead of getting a 993 turbo, I bought an e39 M5 as my daily driver and a C4S to take care of the 993 itch. That was a good year. I still have them both.
hey! I just picked up an E39 M5 to serve daily driving duties next to my C4S. They make a great combination.

That was a great price for 2010. The exchange rate average for 2010 was about .97 to convert to US $$.

It’s crazy money, let’s be honest. 2 years ago, an 85k mile C4s was less than that.

Here is a very unique 993 that sold for $209,000 including buyers premium. This truly may be the perfect 993. Full ground up restoration and upgrade to R specs with Porsche parts.

Thoughts on this car? Could not be duplicated for this price.

It’s a wide body RS homage. Heavy money for a project car, but it was done by a Porsche Classic dealer so I guess that gives it some extra warm and fuzzies for buyers. I don’t know much about Porsche Monterey and I assume they are competent, because normally I’d prefer an air cooled shop to do work like this. Still has the stock gears, it seems, which is a bummer for this kind of money.

That motor wasn’t even close to making 400hp. I saw it a various stages while getting parts ONLY from them. An outlier.

Totally agree with that. Most likely making 300-320 max with that build. I think the dealer comments threw that auction off.

I'd say with premium this is going to 150k~. Last week's aero hit 147 I think. I also JUST bought a 38k mile car that is this car's twin (mine has the 3 key mods done already Sus, fister, carbon box)....So perhaps I'm projecting in hopes that I didn't massively overpay! (I didn't pay 150)
