I noticed some pics are out of chronological order but this is something the rennlist app does every time I post pics. I think you should get the idea though...

I was wondering how many would be interested in a version that preserved the "gong" sound, for headlights-on?
IMO I can manage without the "seatbelt disconnected" reminder ... it's not 1998 anymore, and I'm patterned to click-in.
But I'm also used to cars that turn off all the lights 30 seconds after I leave.
Any other features desired for Immo Block Gen 2?
(Just asking - unofficially)

Immo Block customer here - just installed it! Works well, and install was easy.
However, I had hoped the Immo Block would be the "key" to using an extra key (without needing extra key fobs), but the alarm does not seem to allow this. The Immo block has been activated, so the keyfob is no longer needed to disable the immobilizer. If I lock the door manually, then unlock it manually, the alarm goes off and the vehicle will not start. Reading the manual confirms this is expected behavior. So, even though the Immo Block works, it appears you still need a functioning key fob.

You’re right ... standard key/lock/alarm behavior- the Alarm Control Unit is doing that, not the IMMO. I know, crazy system. That’s why Porsche capped off the door locks and told you not to use them. Maybe we need an ACU defeat....

What's the point of the Immo Block if you still *need* a functioning fob? Avoiding the lock/unlock is nice but falls short of what I had hoped: ensuring the car can be used if the fob is lost, damaged, etc.

Also, if out on the town and unlock car with fob and then get inside and take a call or talk with someone prior to cranking it, even if this takes several minutes, I can then just turn key and crank (again without having to lock/unlock to disable the immobilizer).
The DIY block functions exactly as described. I never expected it to allow me to unlock the door with the key and not the fob as that was never described as a feature or the intent (at least I don't recall any intent for this to aid in access without a functional fob).
Now if version 2 also allowed for that, and included the chime for lights left on as well, I may have to upgrade......

Nice mod, but how about if the remote controller doesn't lock/unlock the doors? Still can be used this device to start the engine, even if I have to open the door manually (insert key and unlock) ?
