I realize there may be more urgent things going on these days but I wanted to make sure that folks that were on the group buy list didn't miss PM's that were sent some time ago.
If you're on the list below and haven't checked your PMs, have a look. If you're not interested at this point PM and let me know. Thanks, Jay

Jay, I got my IMMO Block today, thanks for the cookies and the battery. It took me 11 minutes to install and included the two minute wait for it initialize. Tried it four times so far and worked perfect every time.
Thanks very much, and I will be spreading the word about how to eliminate the pain in the *** Imobilizer.

As a side note while you have the fuel gauge out clean off the brownish sticky glue like stuff. I used household cleaner, Mr Clean I think, and squirted it on a rag with and wiped off the gunk, it took a few minutes. Then before installing i spread a thin layer of silicone lubricant grease on the rubber. I have Aladdin Magic Lube, no not that kind of lube, it is used by plumbing and pool contractor to protect and lube rubber O-Rings especially on plastic fittings. I get it for about $4 a tube. While in there maybe reach over and pop out the next gauge(s) too. I had my fuel gauge out a while ago while installing Bergvill's electronic flasher so today it required only a good pull by hand no prying.

Jay, I finally made it home from our extended cruise (Puerto Rico rejected us......so we got a few extra days at sea). Installed the IMMO Blocks and ate the cookies while they initialized. Fantastic product. Thanks.

Great tip, Steve. I’ve been reluctant to push my fuel and oil gauges in for the last 4 months. Will try what you suggest. Congrats on the install. Enjoy and pass the word!

Wow, single-handled supporting the cruise industry! Thanks for the feedback, Chris.

Finally got around to installing the Immobilizer Block. Really simple install, it really was plug and play. The most difficult part of the install was prying out the fuel gauge. :P

What did you have to do with the fuel gauge?

I'll be doing this shortly and want to be prepared, thanks in advance.

Paul- the IMMO BLOCK takes the place of the gong relay which is behind the fuel gauge. It's just a friction fit but after all these years it takes a little coaxing. I used a stiff putty knife with masking tape wrapped around the end which was risky. If you're stuck on Gilligan's Island and that's all you have give it a try, but there are tools that make it easier (post 276). If it's really, really stuck Orangebox's post (#371) describes a way to get to it from the frunk.

Nothing has to be done to the fuel gauge, just pry and pull it out, leave the wires connected, reach thru the hole and switch out the gong relay with Jay's magic box. If you want to make it easier to remove the gauges again I recommend that you clean off most of the brown sticky glue from the rubber around the gauge housing so that it will be easier to slide out, I used the silicone grease to allow easier install and removal, also you can push the other gauges from behind if you want to clean those too. That is all optional.
