I installed mine yesterday (97 Targa). Install took five minutes, and voila! Amazing invention - thanks Jay!

Install was quick and easy, the only hitch being getting the gauge to budge. Other than that it's an easy 5 minute job. I waited the requisite 2-3 minutes before cycling the door locks and things seemed to be fine but after a short pause the doors tried to lock but failed then quickly locked themselves. I removed the gauge again, removed the immo and reinstalled both. This time after the waiting period I cycled the locks again and waited, same thing happened. I went through the uninstall-reinstall procedure again, waited, cycled the locks, but this time after cycling the locks I started the car. That took care of the issue and my immobilizer is now working as advertised. Yahoo!

Doug- That has nothing to do with the IMMO BLOCK. If you did this all from inside the car, our 993 doors automatically relock themselves when you don't open the door within a minute of a FOB unlock. Got me dozens of times. Try it - get in car, close door, do a FOB lock/ FOB unlock, wait a minute. Doors lock.

Jay - Installed the mod and it works as advertised. For the sake of efficiency I suggest eating the cookies while reading instructions (time for poring milk not included).

Thanks

Jay,

Thanks for working on creating this solution. Just installed this morning, works as described. Was worried about pulling the gauge, but took all of 5 mins to install.

Super elegant, and the cookies were a nice addition.

Congrats and enjoy!
What tool did you use to get the gauge out?

Started with a trim tool, but ended up just grabbing and wiggling it out with my hands.
