Very likely , still the manual without the analog tach feels like something is missing

Pretty easy to get used to. I have a car now with full digital gauges and manual. Advantage is you can change the tach style (round or horizontal) and it can do fancy things like flash, change colors and redline based on engine conditions. Also think of cars like S2000 that had F1 style horizontal LED tach and it was very intuitive.

I have doubts Porsche will engineer an entirely new NA engine just for the GTS. I'm more inclined to believe the GTS will get the detuned version of the new TT 3.6L H6 along with some sort of hybrid set-up.

Turbo model designations will always have the new tech in them, the turbos are supposed to be pioneers according to Porsche. At least that is what their branding department has explained.

I agree. Just hope those models will not be hybrid and we are golden

Is that an advantage? I don't see it at all. It's a gimmick, which is not what Porsches are about. The digital gauge and the change in style deviate from tradition.

It is a gimmick to distract your mind away from what's more important and of higher value. A lot of this so called "tech" is amateur **** that my nerdy classmates were capable of doing in the 2000's. These are multi-billion dollar companies with elite engineers mind you. Who gives a flying **** about color changing gauges? In today's world of cars and Porsche is no exception "more" is less. In a bad way.

The tach with screens on the side is perfect zero reason to change it

What about the Chrono on the centre of the dashboard? Does it stay analogue?

Im with you but China is Porsche's biggest market now and they expect this as other high end cars been doing it for a long time now. I don't think tradition is what a kid in his 20's cares about. Have you seen what they have done to the Mustang with the all digital computer display ? It's the saddest thing. By the way im a Tesla owner and totally get it in a Tesla, but in a 911 ? That is still gas powered and with a manual ? A digital display makes zero sense

Most likely (similar to all of the recent refreshes) and Porsche can point to us luddites and say “see, analog gauge just like you guys want!”

Just had some training and he confirmed that the 992.2 is in fact delayed to at the EARLIEST reveal early next year.
We had some conflicting info for a while between higher ups in porsche regional sales management, and a bulletin we received in service.
But yeah the unveil isnt until next year.

Makes sense, that's why 992.1 allocations are chugging along at full speed, advancing really from what you read here. My guess is that demand in China is way down and they are sending those build slots to the US.

Porsche *just* confirmed the reveal of the 992 Hybrid will happen this year in their March meeting. I’ll believe a delay when I see it.
