So in case anyone is wondering what the answer is to the question at the start of this 88 page thread, no, ADMs are not dropping.

Heaven is where the police are British, the cooks are French, the cars are German, the lovers are Italian and it is all organized by the Swiss.
Hell is where the police are German, the cooks are English, the cars are French, the lovers are Swiss, and it is all organized by the Italians.

First of all, your signature is hilarious! I needed that… Second, the ADM’s are slightly dropping, unfortunately the drop is not on the cars that we’re shopping for (sports cars). ADM’s have mostly been lifted from base model Macan, Panamera, Taycan, Cayenne. If you add an “S” or any other letters to the cars I mentioned, then it’s dealer dependent. Most are still charging for the higher variants of the 4 door cars / SUV’s.
On the plus side, if you’re trading a Porsche sports car, your car is still gathering a premium. Not as much as it was a year ago when the market was overinflated, but a premium nonetheless…

That might be tru, but I think the focus on the this thread is the 992 and not cars in general.

Talked to my dealer today about a Turbo S with a $15k ADM, down from $25-$30k the last two years…. They did have a Dakar allocation with a much high ADM!

ADM would only be dropping because MSRP has gone up an absolute ton

Great point. MSRP on a 24 TTS is effectively a 13,000 ADM as Porsche didn’t do anything different. They just added it bc they think the market can support it. A la ADM.

Your right, Porsche didn’t do anything, but still their profits would have decreased if they hadn’t increased their prices.
The cost of doing business has increased more in the last few years then at anytime I have witnessed in my lifetime.
I have had to implement more price increases in my business in the last two years then at any time in 26 years of business.

The cost of everything has gone up, things like raw materials, energy, transportation, labor etc all go into the manufacturing of a car.

The input costs of Porsches have not gone up as much as they have raised prices. The Porsche CEO specifically states he wants to increase margins to 20% and is doing that by raising prices.

As a Porsche shareholder, that's a good thing.

The margin on the 911 is already 47%, higher on more expensive trims.

I don't see it - I just did a trade in (non Porsche related) 3 weeks ago, still got a dealer trade in price comparable to carvana.

Maybe the market is cooling for the 911 (both new and used).

2022 911 4 GTS 7MT with 1700 ODO

MSRP 168k

RNM 156k
