15k on a car 3 years old is nothing. It’s good to see them being used at least a little.

Yeah, I've had my base since Labor Day weekend and am close to 8k miles, not sure why anyone would buy this car and not want to drive it every time they go anywhere.

That's odd. I've seen a number of 911 base and S with less than 1000 miles on it traded in, as well as some with ppf. From a price point they are asking original MSRP for them with 2 additional years of warranty, expensive I guess.

1. PPF conceals the quality of the paint underneath. PPF on a used car isn't necessarily a plus. The absence of PPF is hardly a negative. It's not unusual dealers remove PPF at trade-in, because PPF gets weathered. I'll take a couple of paint chips over a half-*** dealer front fascia respray any day, because original "damage" is preferable to a low budget repair.
2. 15k miles on '20 is nothing. There is such a thing as too few miles and too little use that can lead to issues. Objects in motion tend to stay in motion.
3. I don't understand the "driven hard" concern. It's a 911. A properly driven 911 is driven hard. They're built to take it. These aren't fragile things, but do get a DME report if you're looking at a manual 911.

PPF on a used car doesn't sell me.

How does one know that a car was driven “hard” just by looking at the mileage?

It is hard to tell. Miles might be highway cruising or anything up to track driving. The condition of the brake pads and rotors might be one way to tell.

Take a look at some of the crowded supermarket parking lots with carts all over the lot and you will have your first clue.

Get your first dent over with and then enjoy it. The 911 is not a delicate Italian plaything, it's meant for miles.

Yup just can't wait for my first dent--hope it's a big one!

Seriously, I know what you mean.

Rash on the lower rear quarters is a good indicator.

Wheel spacers or after market rims with offsets allowing the tires to stick out from the fender further than stock will cause rash on the rear quarters w/o driving “hard”.

Check wear and tear, e.g. tyres, brake pads, any visible scratches/damage of undercarriage... all can be masked though by a crafty seller.
