well. When GTS owners come into the thread and try to express their bias.

im just here to point out the obvious. Which is that the GTS is just a package for the C2S.

When in doubt, always go with the Porsche with more letter/numbers

True and an S is just a package of the base.

Using your logic.

it is — but compared to the base, the engine hardware is different.

is the engine different between the GTS and the S, is it?

Same engine. Don't overthink it.

it is. But the turbos are mechanical different between the standard 911 and the S/GTS (which use the same turbos). We know the GTS has a different ECU tune for a difference of 30hp.

To extend your logic, all three use the same strut setup upfront, so the GTS package is 30 more hp and helper springs? And hideous black wheels.

overall, I’d say dropping into this thread to somehow imply the GTS is superior is slightly tone deaf, given the OP’s question.

but let’s take the GTS logic at face value, if you’re going to consider the C2S, you should get the GTS because it’s superior. My point is: extend that logic. You want superior, why not the Sport Classic or GT3 which have more limited run and more robust engines?

You make a lot of non...sense here. And then you drop your opinion on wheels, which really shows your colors. Carreras have the same engine across the board. Don't compare it to Turbo or GT engines. And don't be upset about what you bought. And don't care about what others say. They're all great cars. Relax.

I’m not uncomfortable with what I purchase. You?

I am not in the habit of lording over other 911 owners with my package car(s).

if the GTS owners would just stop, I’ll drop it. Yeah?

I think you're generalizing. I'm a GTS owner (previous T owner) and I don't do what you are talking about. I will however defend my purchase or any hate toward it. I think the base is phenomenal, the S is as well, and so is the GTS. I'd be a happy guy with any of them. My dream would be a GT3 Touring, but I'd never go back and hate on the Carreras. I loved my T, but honestly like my GTS more. That's just me. I don't know who you are referring to in your comments but I'm sure it's not the majority of GTS owners. I'm sure most are like me. We could care less what others think or say.

BadlyDrawnn Boy- I agree. I had mine in Feb this year, and now she has 6K miles - It is my only daily car - I have been thinking of flashing it with M engineering stage 1// 91 octane since I'm in California, but after going through a tremendous review of the pro/con I still debating, should I pull the trigger for M engendering or not. Regarding this post, Base versus S, in my opinion, buying a base Carrera and flashing it for only $2800 could be a smart move

Why doesn't California that boasts about having it all not have the 93 octane available that is the suggested fuel for many of todays vehicles.

^^^^^^^Thanks for posting a video but what a bunch of nauseating tree hugger crap. The blabber mouth blogger "can now drink a glass of water and not get cancer". So glad we left that state many years ago.
