Cool old video of PASM vs AWD. Something to view while you’re waiting.

I’d take a GT3RS but even that would be a poor substitute for a T.
However, as they say beggars can’t be choosers😞

I visited my OPC today, it turns out that the production of my 992T was delayed by a week. Not an issue, as I prefer not to have a car build over Easter w-end. The highest quality is typically achieved with continuous production at 80% capacity utilization.

Planned entry to Body Shop was on the 07.04.2023 (European date format). Actual date is 11.04.2023

Delivery still planned for May 2023 … anticipation and excitement level is off the charts!

Another question for everyone, how will you configure the individual driving mode? I'm not 100% sure what can or can't be adjusted and saved with PSM, PASM, PTV, etc. But on my M3 I have a saved setting for softer suspension, mid-heavy steering, mid-sharp throttle response (with louder exhaust). Then for fun a single button press puts the traction control into MDM+ that lets the tail wag a bit more.

It would be cool if one could set a drift mode on individual setting.

Thanks for the pics! My man! OK, you’ve kept revs below 4k. Ha, maybe quite a few slipped past it unknowingly? Anyway, I’ve heard some car reviewers mention a bit of turbo lag while others say almost none. Heard that turbo kicks in pretty early. Any thoughts so far/if any?

My order finally locks today after my deposit placed back in October and allocation granted in December. I'd be more than happy with a no-option T, but I've added a couple things as follows:
  • Gentian Blue
  • Locking wheels bolts
  • Rear seats (I found them useful for luggage, pizza boxes, donut boxes, etc in my last 911 and think the checkered seat inserts look great back there)
  • Glass sunroof
  • Roof transport prep (already have a rack to mount. Just need the adapters for the 992. This'll be for skis and bikes)
  • Extended fuel tank (for track days)
  • Power folding mirrors (needs to fit in my garage and I wouldn't be able to open my door with the layout)
  • Matching interior trim (this looked HORRENDOUS in every previous Porsche I've seen it in, but looks tasteful in the right colors in the 992 because it isn't the whole transmission tunnel. And at $0 and more removable than previous generations, I'll take it)
  • Storage package
  • Smoking package (I'm not typically one to sip and drive. Heck, I never minded having no cupholders at all in previous cars)
  • Dashcam prep
  • European Delivery in Leipzig (I'll probably pass through Stuttgart during my trip, but Leipzig actually had some availability though it'll be way out in October. My car will sit for months. Ugh. But it's always been a dream to do ED so I have to make it happen!)
Very excited and a little nervous. I wish Euro Delivery was sooner, but hoping I at least get my manufacturing photos so I have something to hold onto for 5-6 months of waiting. I've really enjoyed all the discourse on this thread and look forward to more and more delivery photos and new-owner observations while I wait!

Darn. Would be perfect weather for delivery in Manhattan/ NY right now! I just thought of something. I’ve been slaving for past 20 years in Manhattan’s rat race and taking subways, taxi, etc. Haven’t driven a stick in 20 years. Maybe I should have gotten an automatic?
