That is exactly why you want speakers that can go higher volume with less distortion. I've heard this argument before but in real world experience it falls flat. I already have some nice floor standing ones and good headphones. I want to be able to enjoy music at its best when I'm driving. I'm not always doing spirited drives. I think it's a bit romantic and imaginary to think all one will listen to is the engine at all times.

I'm really having a hard time picking an exterior colour for my build. I'm expecting a March or April build according to my dealer but who really knows...so I have lots of time. I'm pretty sold on the Lizard green T interior, and I want a fun exterior colour as well. Anyone else with the same dilemma?
Debating between these in this order:
1. Shark Blue
2. Python Green
3. Ruby Star Neo
4. Gentian Blue (Might work the best, but I find it the most boring)
Would it be insane to spec a shark on lizard car?
Here is my build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PP5VCUT8
Only other thing I am on the fence of is speccing rear seats since you pay for the interior pack, might as well get all the stitching and leather they will give you.
My heart wants rear seat delete but my head says get the rear seats for value and it actually makes storing luggage easier.

I thought my chances would be pretty low with no previous relationship with any Porsche dealer but ended up getting lucky that my local dealership had one of the available allocations. Definitely make contact with a few dealers and give your information and see if they will submit a demand order for you. As far as overall chances go I think at this point it mostly depends on how many more allocations get released to dealers in the next few quarters. Several users have reported that as of recently only 10 or so allocations have been released nationwide, so it is still early.

I would not put Lizard interior in Shark car. Go black or go with the 911T Gray stitching. If blue and all black interior, do Shark belts. Very nice look IMO:

I was going NUTS about color. My wife and I finally drove 2 hours to visit a PCA member to check out his Lizard 911. Loved it! Done! Now, that being said, I have a Shark Blue 2022 CGTS 4.0 in the garage and THAT is the best color choice I ever made! If I didn't already have that, I'd likely get Shark Blue 911T. But I'm going with the launch color scheme of Lizard with 911T Lizard green interior (not the leather).

First time posting. I have purchased a few Porsches from my local dealer and was on a waitlist for a 992 GTS with a minimal deposit. However, I contacted my sales guy the moment that the "T" was announced and requested their first "T" allocation. He said it was mine and on November 12, I got an allocation. I previously had a 991.2 T that I purchased off new off the lot and never should have gotten rid of it.
I submitted my preliminary build and received the Track your Dream Email. They anticipate a February build.
I configured the base audio in my initial build but I think I will have to switch to the Burmester. I've always had the Bose systems and despite the fact that I hardly use the audio except when I'm in traffic, I think I would regret the decision to go with the base. I worked as an installer and later managed a car audio and electronics shop in college and just don't think I could live with the base if it is terrible. Unfortunately, my dealer doesn't have a new or used 992 with a base or a Burmester to listen to. They all, naturally, have Bose.

I have Burmester in the Taycan, and it is perfectly suited to that car, particularly with the noise insulated glass. I'm getting Burmester in the 992 simply because I hate the idea of paying so much for a vehicle and having what by all accounts is a substandard base audio system. Even if the 992's noise levels and cabin aren't optimal for listening to music, I'd still rather have better sound.
Edited to add: it does seem pretty cynical of Porsche not to offer Bose. I don't think the Bose system is great, but it's certainly better than the base, and it would be good enough for the T. I think they've made the calculation that many people will feel the same as me, and my guess is that Burmester is a really high margin option for them.

Good to know. I just researched it a bit, and it seems like it's one of those urban myths that has never been true. One thing I read is that the difference in Canada is that manufacturers can punish dealers for these kinds of practices, whereas in the US they can't, but I don't know if that's actually the case. Either way, I've bought several new Porsches in Canada, and ADM has never been discussed. Hope that does not change.
It’s part of the consumer protection act, where it is illegal to sell something above the advertised price. As long as Porsche publish MSRP on their website and literature, it prevents dealers from charging ADM.

@Gregonater I would not mix interior colors (ie, gray stitching and blue belts, etc). I'm not worried about Python and Lizard mixing since Porsche is offering it this way. When there's a color that's fabric vs a color that's paint, I think there's room for variance. I bet Porsche actually decided it looks better because of the different materials in play.
@NYFlat6ix which dealer? I'm on Long Island, first in line, awaiting my allocation.
