I'm on Long Island. We barely have roads! horrible! Bear Mountain is nice area but gets crowded. Basically anything 40 minutes in any directly out of NYC except east (which is LI) gets nice. Up by New Paltz gets nice too.
Sure, let's meet up! Once we all have cars!

You're both right. However, light weight has been highlighted by Porsche marketing and repeated by the media as a key ingredient. This has been the case since the 991.2 T. Those who have referred to the T as a parts bin special, do so because there's a feeling they could've gone further with the exercise. Hard to argue with it, but as I stated yesterday and my dialogue with @Ikone, the 992T is as close as one can get in the Carrera lineup to recreating the raw and visceral feel of the older cars and that's why I ordered one.

Still waiting for TYD to update. March 12th production started, production end was delayed a month to April 11th but that appears to have slipped as well.
A bit frustrating to see other members have later build slots be completed and shipping, with no news from Porsche.

Same here with 3/17 production start. Production end now 4/20. Only major options I added were RAS and Burmester. I wonder if one of those are slowing things down.
My build: PPBS8ZP3

There is a very strong recommend against PPF on the headlights… I wanted it, but Porsche don’t recommend it and some of the PPF manufacturers insist on a disclaimer signing because of a lacquer on the headlight units.
Second hand info but reliable.

I PPF'd my headlights. My installer knew all about Porsche headlights and said it's a risk, but once on, it's fine. He does good work and it looks amazing. YMMV

I'm about ready to drive down to rhode island and hop the fence at the porsche vpc and look for my car. Still no update, no signs of movement.

Awesome. I’ll organize meetup later when we all get our cars. I forgot who, but I think one of us from NJ got the aero package. Would like to see in person. Oh PA people included. Ha, do our own cars and coffee. I’m guessing maybe up to 10 folks from our area on forum? I go to Bear Mtn in the weekdays. Clear roads then.
My car will be in Rhode Island in a couple days and once I collect you guys will be inundated with pics.
Down for a NE meet this summer, maybe even at Bear Mtn!

I have the aerokit and I know @AdamIsAdam does too.
Look forward to seeing photos.
