Controversial question warning. I love the T ethos but I’d probably buy a base 911 if the manual transmission was available. So I’m mainly buying the T because I see it as the least expensive and most readily available manual transmission 911 that you can build yourself. I’m not crazy about the T side decal, but if I do the decal delete, the mirrors to me do not tie in well with the rest of the car. So I feel like I will either live with the decal unless I can find a way to match mirrors to body color. Has anyone explored painting or wrapping the mirrors to match body color? I have no experience with wrapping and don‘t know if that is feasible or how much it would cost.

Same here. In the 991 section of RL you can find pictures of a beautiful yellow 991.2 T owned by @Wing Commander . He recently had the side decal removed, the mirror covers painted yellow and the wheels painted silver. In my view, his car looks terrific. YMMV!
God bless you,
TT

The front and rear fascia, and engine cover accents are all also agate gray to match the mirrors, and of course the wheels are a similar gray. You don't need the decal to tie that all together.

Thanks, I found the pics you're talking about. That does look good!

That is a good point. I hadn't fully appreciated that those components were in the same gray. That said, something still looks out of balance with the decal delete. Maybe I'm just OCD...

Yea, I hear ya. I'm keeping it just because it's part of the T. And I am deleting the rear bumper emblem. I always do.
I'll also be adding a single, motorsport PORSCHE over the top stripe to match the agate gray.
OK OK - so your T hasn't arrived yet and you never took one for a test drive before ordering because there weren't any at dealers, but you bought one anyway because its never a risk buying a Porsche, right?
Right, well this video this is the closest you'll get to actually driving your new car. Skip to 4.30' in the video for the actual driving experience. Enjoy...
Nice build, no expense spared! No SD Side Skirts though on an otherwise Full SD car? One other thing, I've heard the standard interior trim in black isn't as nice as the trim in exterior color. Maybe someone can help him with this no cost option.
Thanks! If you try and add the SD side skirts it deletes the SportDesign Package in High Gloss Black. I believe thats part of that package already?
Good note on the interior trim. I didn't think about it as the car is black but makes sense. I have test driven light color 911s that have it and I'm not a huge fan but that might not be the case in black...hmm. help indeed!

Reason: changed trim location
I did my prior Taycan in stealth/matte ppf, base color was volcano gray, and the matte and the metallic do wonderful things in the sun. I'd recommend a metallic paint for a stealth wrap every time over a nonmetallic. The non just ends up looking so flat and so... cheap.
Thanks for the feedback. Very interesting. Do you happen to have pictures?
Checked in on the 992T color poll that 6sigma set up, and was surprised how many results there are. Also surprised at the way the color distribution is playing out. Thought I'd post a screen shot here for convenience. Interesting to see so much Chalk (a color I am still considering), and I thought I'd see more Black/Jet Black. I'd be interested to hear what jumps out at others about the distribution.

Great vid. I don't recall another POV like this. Gives us a decent impression as he winds out 2nd and 3rd. I don't know that road, but clearly the car can easily drive in the 70-90 range without breaking a sweat into turns.
Funny that there were at least two other 911T's passing in the other direction (11 min green, and 13 min yellow). And this, after driving with a Nissan Z for a while.
say no more. basically the metallic doesnt stop being metallic when the ppf is matte--it's fantastic.
I second this. I just texted a friend of mine that has a stealth wrap on his Gentian Blue GT4, and he agreed that the Matte finish on Metallic is the right choice. He had a Basic Black 997 Turbo before that he did a wrap on and I agree that it always kind of looked cheap/worn out.
