Checked in on the 992T color poll that 6sigma set up, and was surprised how many results there are. Also surprised at the way the color distribution is playing out. Thought I'd post a screen shot here for convenience. Interesting to see so much Chalk (a color I am still considering), and I thought I'd see more Black/Jet Black. I'd be interested to hear what jumps out at others about the distribution.
If you combine the black and jet black, I'm surprised how evenly distributed the choices are. Carmine red is an outlier, and I think that's because it is costly and similar to Guards. Yellow is also an outlier and I would have expected racing yellow to be more popular given the interest in python, shark blue, and ruby star and that yellow is a free color. Personally, I voted yellow but am considering white also.
I'm curious if Ice Grey Metallic will see greater adoption as cars begin to deliver. The trends will be interesting to watch from pre-delivery color guessing to real world evidence driving color choices.

If Rubystar hadn't been launched, I was going to spec mine in Racing Yellow with the black SD package and carbon roof... and Yellow Seat Belts on a standard black interior.
But Porsche surprised me with a childhood favorite of mine, so I had to jump on Rubystar Neo... No dealer anywhere has paint sample still, so really hoping I don't regret the sight unseen "NEO" version of this color haha... Im sure I wont, im not afraid of pink, purple or red and its going to be one of those for sure
Funny that there were at least two other 911T's passing in the other direction (11 min green, and 13 min yellow). And this, after driving with a Nissan Z for a while.
Porsche had the media / YouTubers out for a press day drive along the Angeles Crest Highway in mid-November 2022. All the video reviews you'll see are from that day AFAIK.

I'm sure Ruby Star will look great, but I agree it is a difficult choice without some real world samples or pictures. I keep hoping we'll see some cars show up soon and have some real world perspective. I love all the bold colors and Porsche has such a rich catalog I am glad they brought out Ruby Star. The yellow with black contrast looks great too - bumblebee effect. I admit Racing Yellow is not my favorite Porsche yellow but I still think it looks good on the 992 and will certainly be unique and uncommon.

I ordered IGM on my build which froze earlier this week and will be here on 3/31...I will make sure to post pics when it arrives. It has been hard to see this color in person on 911s to date, but I believe that you'll see an increasing take rate as more roll out in the real world.

I agree and have my IGM order coming 4/14, supposedly. My guess is it's going to become the new chalk when people start seeing it. I'm secretly hoping the poll stays true and there aren't a lot of IGM T's running around.
Thanks! If you try and add the SD side skirts it deletes the SportDesign Package in High Gloss Black. I believe thats part of that package already?
Black sports design package on a black car? I realize it will change the front and rear facia from grey to black. It will be beautiful, but sounds like an expensive option when most of it will already be black.

Going black SD vs regular SD with side skirts is basically an extra $500 to have certain parts gloss black rather than matte black. Doesn't seem that crazy compared to the cost of options in general?

I saw IGM with gloss black trim on a 911 turbo back in November. I like it, but I like chalk better. Probably will depart from my normal shades of gray and go with GB instead.
