I am frustrated, If I don't get an allocation soon I may move to Ferrari again or another brand where I can get an allocation.
Have you called around to other dealers in the area? There was a lot of unevenness among my area dealers with respect to waitlists for the T. It paid off to call all of the dealers within 90 minutes of my home.

Does Surround View help with assessing whether a steep driveway is too steep to clear the front lip? I really don't want FAL, but I would be happy to get the cameras if it would help negotiate low clearance driveway entrances.

The surround view is very helpful compared to the regular park assist. The 4 cameras do a great job of creating a full 360 and top down view, and in many cases I have seen the front camera save me from touching the front bumper to the ground. It does flash red line when it thinks you are too close to something/going to hit... I park in two very different areas, one with plenty of room, but in the city its a tight squeeze to navigate, so I turn it on and it has made parking a breeze... I would love to save the money and weight on the T and put towards other performance oriented pieces, but I've enjoyed/needed the surround view so much on my current 992 that I will option again.

Interesting to read the different ordering experiences.

I’m placed a deposit U.K. but am way down in 6th as I faffed for too long.

Not much hope for anything other than early 2024 perhaps and then what happens with 992.2 etc

Decided I will wait this one out!

Porsche code PPXJGGG7

Cheers

Correct. For every person who drops out, there are two or three waiting to take his spot.

I was at a Porsche dealer today and my friend got an allocation for a T so he jumped on it. The dealer said when they meet certain performance criteria, they can pick up extra allocations.

When speaking with several managers there, they said buckets are on hold for all cars but GT cars. They will most likely not be available on early cars, if any at all.

On the plus side, if not available, then the decision and debate and the resale value is removed from the equation. Plus the added savings can pay for full PPF.

So if not available, no FOMO.

Not sure if the "no FOMO" makes me feel any better about this haha...
To keep hope alive, my dealer once again contacted me to say they had another email exchange with the Porsche NA rep who continues to say that the plan is to add buckets to the config in the new year... maybe its all smoke and mirrors, but im holding out hope.

I'm like 3 or 2 in line now...assuming they dont place someone before me because they're offering extra $. Dude #1 got placed because he offered +$20K <_<

im opting for...
Ruby Star Neo
LWBS (if available, else add rear seats)
Full black leather
Extended Range Fuel Tank
RAS
that's it!

Honestly this is a near perfect car me until I trade this into a 930 Turbo as my end game.
Only thing to make this 992T better is to remove power window for hand-crank window. :]

*edit*
Removed aerokit cuz I dont like painted front lips. I like to drive my car through ramps like I'm offroading :P

Hi Chris,

Also UK based as are a few others on here, getting very little information on allocations so it's anyone's guess how many we'll actually get.

Evidently I'm actually 2nd in line for a T , someone who had a C2 order in before me swapped to a T taking the first spot.

Let's hope they get more than a few allocations per quarter 🙏

People with allocations: Are your freeze dates and build dates about the same, mid Feb and early March build? I wonder if they are planning to build these cars in one big push.

Separate question: is there only one type of lightweight glass available at Porsche? My friend just got a GT3 and noticed the door windows are double pained. Is that the same glass coming in the T, and is it this glass:
