If you watch any YouTube videos at the factory, I believe there is one with a turbo s that is followed from beginning to end. There is also a video with a gold pts gt3 I believe. When looking at shots of them applying the leather on the dash etc. it seems to me they just add it on top of the standard dash etc. So I wouldn’t be surprised with the increased weight.

Porsche just moved my freeze date in by 17 days. Hopefully this is good news that production is going well and others will move in as well. It did not change the 3/24/23 delivery date.

@greggles991 I added back the rear seats myself. Figured might as well with lack of buckets. One way of indoctrinating nephew in my car obsession 😂

very true, the 10-20% savings by going to an indy shop aren’t worth it in the long run

Based on some of the Porsche dealer records that I’ve seen posted on bring-a-trailer cars, some dealers are charging much more than an extra 10-20% on basic maintenance. I’ve seen spark plugs for $25/each, oil for $40/quart, etc.

Really depends on the Indy shop. Specialty Porsche shops by me are generally more knowledgeable and detail oriented than dealer service departments.

Scratching my head... I have been checking TYD today since others mentioned freeze dates and production dates moving up... Nothing all day, and then when I logged in about 5min ago the only thing I noticed that changed was right on the home page it updated my "Order Created Date" to todays date... i didnt make any adjustments to the order, and havent spoken with my SA in the last week. I went through the option list and it all seems to be there (hard to go line by line and just use the codes... wish this would update with descriptions)... The only option code that I dont see is the Wheels + Manual transmission... but assume that since I optioned the regular Carrera S wheels and the Manual is the default option that is why...
There is one other option code on there "ZAB" that I wasnt sure off either... anyone know?
Also the estimated time to dealer arrival is blank because I have Leipzig Euro Delivery in June, so they havent put a date there

Yep, any "standard" option codes don't show up on the TYD build sheet for whatever reason, but for some reason they show ZAB which is the code for the porsche crest on the hood.

I also noticed my "order created" date shifted several times over the last month. It originally showed the date I submitted the build to my SA.

Oh Right! The Crest... I knew that and completely forgot. Weird that the 7-speed Manual and Wheels don't show up but literally everything else does... such a quirky tool. Glad to hear your "order date" shifted around too... must just be one of those weird TYD glitches i've read a lot about.

I just bought a Macan for my wife last week. 3 year / 30K maintenance plan on that was $1750. It's ~30% savings versus paying a la carte for the 20K and 30K mile services at the dealership.
I figure 911 should be in the same ballpark.
