Here is my initial build: http://www.porschecode.com/PPWQX493

I plan to use this car as a daily driver with occasional weekend canyon carving and road trips with my wife and son (when he's big enough to fit in a forward facing carseat). I optioned the glass sunroof because I like how it makes the interior feel more open, brightens up the dark interior, as well as how it breaks up the exterior color. I removed the side decals because I think it gets washed out in the dark blue. I would have optioned Bose but I think I'll just deal with the base audio or upgrade it if it's really as bad as everyone is saying.

I'm planning to visit my dealer soon to compare some additional options in person, but I'll probably leave them off: Other colors, 18-way seats, leather interior, LCA, surround view/power folding mirrors.

I'm pretty happy with my minimal build but I would appreciate any feedback on my current and potential choices.
Looks great! Pretty close to what I am looking at too. I favor the side decals to tie together the wheels and mirrors. You can remove them later if you don't like them.

Too much black plastic on the non-SportDesign for my taste

This is brilliant!

I am leaning towards the Bold choice of Python now..
just not sure about the lizard interior with Python exterior.

So the Weight difference between the manual and PDK cars is 35kg.

^^ I think Lizard would go great w Python. It is a lot of green though.

EDIT: THIS is too much green (another RLer's build I just spotted)

My current order includes the SportsDesign front apron but I'm having second thoughts. I'm not convinced it's any prettier??
I'm locking Tuesday.
I'll stick with manual and keeping it simple and cheap....
- GT Silver
- F Axle Lift
- 18 way seats
- Folding mirror
- Lightweight glass
- Red seat belts
- Rear seats
- Interior Package painted in Exterior Colour
Shame about Bose
PPF being done after

Thought I'd share my current build. I am still bouncing around between white, silver, and chalk for now. Would welcome any comments from people who have experience living with 911s in any of these colors.

Freeze date March 8, deliver date May 12.

What market are you in? I ask bc N. America doesn't get to option lightweight glass, it comes standard

PTS and buckets will be available for those who are patient. Porsche, like the rest of the world, is experiencing challenges with labor and production/manufacturing shortages.

PCCBs are not offered this time around, which is the one notable difference. I imagine this is because very few buyers wanted to add $9k brakes to a model that is largely attractive because it is a smart package for a low price.

Overall, both the quantity and variability of options offered for the 992 T leaves the 991.2 T in the dust. It was a constant point of frustration and complaint among 991 T buyers.
Don't care about "deviated stitching" and I can't wait until "the challenges regarding production" are sorted. My car will be delivered in February.
Also, I think overall the "quantity and variability of options" went up not only regarding T models, but overall. Look how 991.2 GT3 touring were ordered and how the 992 are specced.
I was just saying that the options I wanted, were not offered or are not yet available. Even when some of them were to be seen in the press cars.

I found another Python with Lizard car on the internet with some better pictures. I am also torn on this combo I think I wish they just offered python stitching like the macan...but oh well.

Thank you. Tried hard not to get too many options, but I didn't want to leave something out and regret it later.
The difference between my "reasonable" and the "whatever your heart desires" spec was about 13k, much of that is the Burmester audio system. Bose would have been enough.

It's buggy though, the new configurator. It's getting better but in October/November it was getting updates every other week almost.

I'll super politely disagree with this perspective. Sure, you can get a myriad of deviated stitching colors, but the point is you only have 2 as part of the standard Carrera T interior option, whereas you had 4 with the 991.2 gen. Also, deviated stitching (extra cost) was also available on the 991.2, but most people were happy with the Carrera T interior given the color options were plentiful and useable (Red, Yellow, Grey/white, black). Also, CF buckets and PCCB were all readily available. On top of that, the interior had the canvas colored straps from the RS cars that made them just a little more special (silly, I know, but still unique). Lastly, every other option outside of PTS (oh yeah, can't actually get that can you...), was largely offered on the 991.2. Don't get me wrong, I was pounding on dealers doors when the car got announced, only to walk away when I realized PCCB and CF buckets aren't "currently" available. To me, the 992T has largely been a disappointment for the true driver's car enthusiast.

That's a dramatic change. Did your freeze and production date move as well?
