So basically I saw the car for 10 mins and then came home without it. The only positive is that the dealer is only 45 minutes from my house. As it stands collection was booked for 5 hours ago and the dealer still doesn't appear to have the funds as yet so today is looking less and less likely.

Frustrated and sad in equal measures.
Well, the funds never turned up at all so the car is still at the dealers until the bank works out what happened. The people that can resolve this 'do not speak direct to customers'.

The wait continues .....

I haven't had my wheels long but saw something that I just couldn't get out of my head and so I've ordered a second set of wheels. I needed to take some measurements to max out concavity in the rear but because the car is 2k mi away from me right now, I had to rely on the kindness of someone else willing to help take a wheel off and take some measurements. Big shoutout to @tourenwagen! Thank you my friend, for being so generous with your time and kind with your help. You are the epitome of what this forum is all about.

View from bed

Sometimes I wish it would do the Kills Bugs Fast thing a little less effectively
C'mon man, you are in Bavaria (no König Pilsener, pls)...have the local brew, Weizenbier Or the in season one, a strong Helles
The view from the bed is nice, but the fact that the overhangs are touching her derrière...I wouldn't have been able to sleep until I moved the car a little forward
Bugs killing is a function of speed. Stay under 130-140 km/h and you are golden. Or...not You can always wash it.

Or a dealer that gives you $0 down loan so you can take the car and pay it off in a few days, like my dealer did for me …

In my defense, the room includes everything in the Minibar!!! And they unfortunately only had König Pilsner. But hard to say no to "free" beer

I'm back spending time with family just west of Stuttgart with the intention of doing a slow wet lap on the 'Ring Sunday. Back to Munich after and Helles will be consumed to make up for my sins

@N3DXT You do appear to have rotten luck late delivery and now this hassle with your bank. I suggest you give them a roasting it is inexcusable
I hope tomorrow (Monday) you will be able to collect your car finally, When you did get to see it for 10 minutes I hope you were pleased with your carmine red choice?.
I hope to hear everything is resolved tomorrow and you can report how much you are enjoying your new T. Look on the bright side, the days of enjoyment ahead.
Best Devon Racer.

Hi Devon

Thank you for your kind words, it did look pretty special on Friday, I'm happy with my final specification choices and very much hoping I can get the issue sorted tomorrow (but expecting that to be late in the day at the earliest). All the paperwork is signed finance and otherwise and the deposit is with the dealer so once they confirm receipt of the finance balance they only need to tax the car and I can drive it away.

After tomorrow I'm working away for a few days so if it's not tomorrow then it'll have to be at the end of the week or next week.

I'll post a very short update when it's home and in my garage

Thanks again
Davis

At the 'Ring for a slow and moist tourist lap and as I'm about to get on, accident closed the track. But saw this 996 with the Clubsport vibe in mind as some of us here have considered the true lineage of the T.

Sadly that horse has bolted on this one, There aren't many companies offering finance for large purchases like this in the UK and the rate offered by Porsche finance is pretty high comparative to what can be sourced from reputable lenders.

It'll be sorted, just a case of how soon
