Apparently it's fully removable too so will save some much needed weight for those trackdays.. follow for more tips #howtomakeyourTlighter

Something that's been overlooked is the sport design front bumper removes the motorised front Aero vents on the standard bumper, Aerokit will remove these front motors and and rear deck lid motor.

But it costs $3 grand+ to remove those motors!

God bless you,

You're not wrong, but the thread seems to have taken a turn to what options save most weight.

For me I'm not bothered, but for some it seems like a serious matter.

Yes. I recently spoke with the sales manager of my BMW dealer--which is large, in a big city (unlike my Porsche dealer) and also with good customer service (possibly because I have purchased 25 or so BMWs from them over the past nearly 40 years?), about trading for a low mileage, used M2 CS at another dealer in a different state. He told me dealer trades are becoming hard to do because of the scarcity of free allocations and cars. Different times.

God bless you,

True, G. And, to my eyes, the Sport Design from bumper looks better, especially with light exterior colors. Speaking for myself, I'm not interested in a T to save weight. I'm interested because you get the base motor with a manual transmission and performance "goodies" not available on the base Carrera, plus some exclusive stylish bits like the exclusive fabrics in the upgraded interiors. And it is less expensive than an S, assuming you don't want the extra power of an S, which I do not.

God bless you,
TT

I have found this thread to be incredibly helpful. It is chock full of well presented facts and diverse opinions. It is a great example of how forums should work, constructive back and forth without too many feelings hurt. It has certainley helped me and no doubt others to spec their cars. Despite being weight aware, RAS and rear seats have been added to my build after reading the pros and cons here. Now just 88 days of crossed fingers to go!

My SA divulged privately some of the dealer trades being sought by other dealers. One dealer said they'd trade 3 Carreras for 1 GTS Targa!

Yup, that's how I got my allocation. My dealer's GM traded another dealership for it on their internal network.
