I may now commit a rennlist mortal sin and cancel my T order. The limitation of the options is kinda ruining the car for me... was hoping they would come available before the lock date but no deal. probably best to pass it on to another hopeful buyer.

I'm hoping Porsche HQ doesn't mind as I also had to do the same for the GTS due to supply constraints. I didn't want to order a non-personal build.

The U.S. configurator at one point did show the availability of the Bose sound system.

Got allocation and finalized my build: PPKCKT88
Hopefully, the Bose will become available before Mar freeze date.

Lots of potential buyers waiting and wishing, so it will surely make someone very happy if you pass. I completely understand where you’re coming from, I would never buy a car I wasn’t completely excited about…and the lack of option availability can certainly be a let-down. We are just in rough waters these days with manufacturing, shipping, etc.

My NJ dealership has let me know they can get another T allocation. Anyone in this area looking? Shoot me a DM.

Congrats man, great feeling no? I can't understand how a P car can be less loaded up with options as yours is than a base T in the States. $150710 Cdn = $111,734 USD. You've got $14,000 in options which means the option less T in Canada costs $101,334 USD. WTF

I'm very excited as it will be my first Porsche. Well the price between the 2 countries can't always be directly compared.
1. Our exchange rate has been wild depending on time/price of oil etc.
2. I'm sure you are not paying 5% federal tax, 7% provincial tax, and 20% luxury tax on the portion of the cost above $100000. (which is 50710 in this case). To add insult to the wound, the fed and prov tax is on top of the lux tax

Wow

I'll pay 7% state tax and like $75/yr to register it in comparison. A steal in comparison

Great build. I am just missing the Race-Tex sun visors. They don’t cost much but are part of the roof lining. The normal plastic ones look pretty ugly in your spec.

Definitely not true in EU specced cars. Let’s hope I am wrong.

At least you don't live in BC where you'd be paying 5% federal tax, 20% provincial tax and 20% on the amount over $100,000...The only thing causing me to be ok with it is looking at the savings we get currently after exchange rate vs the US lol

Okay Gentleman (and ladies)... I have some unfortunate "official" news. The manager of my dealership just emailed me an update for the Carrera T. As of today the internal Porsche Cars North America message board was updated with the following message: "Due to increased demand for the Full Carbon Bucket Seats on GT3, GT4RS and Dakar Models launched for MY23, the 992 Carrera T will not be offered with full bucket seats for MY23. We hope the situation will improve by the time MY24 is announced, but we cannot promise a firm timeline."

Mentally Moving on!! I have added the carbon roof instead of the seats and will figure out any other changes in the next couple days... This really makes me question the 4-way vs. 18-way again now!! ugh I just feel like im going to regret the choice either way.

It's 4 ways for me!

Thank you for this! I need to be more positive about the fact that I'm getting an INCREDIBLE car and one option won't ruin it... Im actually really excited that now I can afford to do the Carbon Roof... I think Carbon Roof on the Rubystar paint is going to be a killer combo, break up the color nicely and be a real talking piece at the track and at car events!

Heres to finalizing the build and moving forward!

I'd love to do the CF roof, but not at $4k. $1k, yes. $2k, I dunno. $4k? that's a tough one. I agree, it will look amazing on your color and mine, and you're right about it being a conversation piece for sure. Hmmm

I know it wont come close to making up for it, but if I cave and go for the 18-way seats at least Ill feel a little better about creating a lower center of gravity and reducing weight in another area too... either way, im NOW excited about the roof/ruby combo..
No pressure Adam haha!
