And while the GTS is more Turbo than Carrera, and the S and base are more GT cruisers than sports cars, a properly spec'd T with the sum of its parts, most closely resembles that go kart feel and has fun factor even at lower speeds.
As usual, nailed it.

Re: "proper spec", of course, it's all up to you, but in the "spirit" of a Carrera T, it seems that simple/light/no frills builds would fit in with the theme of the car. That's what attracted me to a T, so I want to stay consistent and not add glass roof, etc. (although, I did spec Aerokit, so there's my "un-proper" choice).

There is a T at a San Diego dealer that has an "odd" build, IMO.

Puddle lights
Exclusive design gas cap
Front axle lift
RAS
Extended tank

I only say "odd" in that it seems contrary to what an "enthusiast" build would include. But, to each their own. Or... was this build done by a sales person just checking random boxes?

We should all list our specs. Here’s my ‘opposite of what most want’ spec lol :

glass roof/sunroof
aerokit/SD
PDK
rear seats added back in
interior trim in exterior color
18 way power seats

oh well, works for me as my daily driver. In fact, after only two days now, I can say, I’m LOVING IT!!

I added the puddle lights (my wife really wanted this option for my car), the exclusive design gas cap (I really wanted this for my car), the RAS and extended tank in my build. I stayed away from the front axel lift option, as I don't need it and didn't want the extra weight.

What is the T's ethos exactly? Lightweight, bare bones or both? I'd like to think I kept my build light weight without being bare bones, while others might look at my build and think it's a grand tourer.

Beautiful!

Mine is;

- slick top roof
- sport design package and side skirts
- 7MT
- 4-way sport plus seats
- pedals and footrest in aluminum
- preparation for dashcam
- armrest with Porsche crest
- rear seats added back in
- RAS
- 90L fuel tank
- PDLS+
- black leather interior with Sport Text seat centers
- deviated stitching in GT Silver
- Race Tex headliner, sun visors and seat belt outlets
- seatbelts in silver grey
- tach and sport chrono gauges in white
- Bose stereo
- LCA and surround view
- power folding mirrors
- puddle lights (wife's option)

Mine is:
Red
PDK
Full Leather with red stitching
Rear seats added
Sport design side skirts
LCA
Bose
FAL
Wheels painted gloss black
Power steering plus

Due late July. I’ll post pics once it gets here. IMHO the real key to the T is what you can’t get on the Base; PTV and sport PASM.

I tried to stay as simple and light as possible, but leather and backseats were hard requirements for me. So my spec is:

Guards Red
Carrera T package in leather slate gray
Red Tach
Bose
PDLS+
Rear Seats

That's it 👌

picking mine up tomorrow
guards red
slick roof
18 ways
full leather
Bose
FAL
RAS
90L tank
Rear seat delete
red tach and clock
alcantara headliner, seat belt outlets, and visors

29k CAD in options

its my first Porsche and will be a daily driver. Did not have a chance to even sit in one prior to ordering

18 ways and FAL were ‘just in case’ options. The RAS sounded cool. I realize now I do not need the 90L tank so that’s maybe the one thing I regret. Not sure what I was thinking there

Our options list are pretty close, except I didn't go with 18 ways or FAL, and I went with sport design package for an aesthetic upgrade. Mine is not going to be my daily driver. I have a big and heavy Jaguar XJL for daily driver duties. This is also my first P-car, and sort of an achievement car that I plan to keep long term.

Slick top is so sexy! And I love it in GT Silver! Can't wait to get mine.

another cool thing I realized is that both the 1983 SC and the 2024 Carrera T have the back badging in grey! looked very very close when I saw it in real!

just a random thought! these easter eggs is what I love about Porsche!!
