I came from a 991 GT3 (PDK) to a 992 T (7speed). The only thing I miss about the GT3 is the sound (Sharkwerks CMD). The 992 T is a better car for me in every aspect and it feels just as fast on the street. More room, more tech, more torque down low, love the manual, love the supple suspension (compared to the GT3).

I've owned multiple GT3's, GT4, Turbo S, etc. Out of my 15+ pcars, the 992 T is one of my all-time favorites and would be by easy #1 choice for road driving. This includes my 991.2 GT3 Touring.

Glad it sold…but here in Naples the same used 992’s have been sitting on high end lots for many months. I just drove by Naples Land Rover and they have C2 base that’s been sitting there at least 5 months. Germaine BMW had a Turbo S that sat for 6 months!! We live right near it and drive by every day. It finally sold. I don’t think used 992’s sell as hot as we thought. I thought they did, but after paying closer attention they don’t seem to be, at least in Naples

Kills bugs fast comes to mind here, although kills a lot of bugs very fast would probably apple here.

But we were talking about a manual 992 Carrera T. Carrera Base and Turbo S are both PDK. Do you remember how long it took dealers to sell the 991.2 Carrera T PDK cars? Dealers could not give them away. Transmission is a critical distinction, arguably particularly with the T. With the 992.2 announcement, I don't think any remaining Carrera 7MT cars will last long, regardless of variant. Some (many?) enthusiasts are worried this may be the end of the third pedal for the Carrera line-up. Time will tell, but let's not lump Carrera Base and Turbo S PDK cars in with 7MT Carrera T's. It's too apples-and-oranges.

Yeah, but the GT3 is better.
Most of the GT3s for sale have got to account for people who wanted "the best" then realized they bought the wrong car.
The 992 T is the only new Carrera I have interest in.

I get ya…but what I don’t understand is 80% of 911’s sold world wide are PDK. I’m a HUGE manual fan and all my Porsches have been, I just ordered a T and initially it was a manual until I drove the T in a PDK and I was super impressed and changed my order. Plus, I’ll be driving it in horrible traffic in Naples and Charlotte NC area. Some here have said why didn’t I just get the base Carrera, reason was several features of the T are not available on the base and the T with PDK is still lighter than the base. Believe me, if I lived in the mountains or a rural area I would have ordered the manual.

Used manual GT3s have been commanding a premium over PDK ones for a while, touring or not. Basic supply and demand - more demand for manual. PDK cars might sit on a lot for a long time because demand isn't there or price is too high. You may like the PDK better - great. Too soon to say what happens in the resale market and what happens with demand. Based on the 992.2 announcements, I'd say demand should be strong for any manual 992.1 at least for 2024/2025. But then again we don't know what plans Porsche has for manuals in the future.

I come from the air-cooled 3.2 g body and the 992 is nicer to drive for sure. it's refreshing with the light clutch and amazing amenities!

the 3.2 has a lot of drama and driving the told car was a "special event" it drained my emotionally and physically after 5 hrs of a drive tour.

but am curious to know why the 992 T is so highly regarded by you over the others? especially the tourers like the Turbo S
