992 Carrera T Club
So I celebrated my crossing over the 1,000 miles mark today by pushing the boost button while in Sport. The poor innocent, wrong place at the wrong time, guy next to me in the 5.0 tried to keep up but quickly gave up. PDK rips to redline in the blink of an eye. It’s got to be faster than Porsche spec”s say so? It’s so much fun and planted in the corners that it had me grinning ear to ear! 😎
See pm.
If anyone wants me to help them with the math, let me know! 😁
5.0L Ti-VCT V8 Engine. 480 hp / 415 lb-ft of torque. Ford Mustang GT 0-60 time: 4.3 seconds. 2023.
2024 911 T …0-60 3.8 seconds with Sport Chrono Package. PDK.
What’s not to believe.
😘

Can anybody with buckets tell us if the seat heater buttons are blanked out in their cars ?
I was browsing 968 CS on an auction site yesterday. Most of the centre consul switches were blanked off.
It is amusing that, in 'light weight' models, blanked switches are a sign of a cool car.
When I was young I thought it just indicated that my dad had bought the least luxurious version of a car.
I thought it was him being tight fisted.
Now I realise that he had a keen understanding of driving dynamics.
Sorry Pops !

It’s not a fair comparison. Correct me if I’m wrong, but those Apex wheels only come in 20/19 vs your OEM size 21/20. Smaller wheels weigh less. If you spec your wheels in 20/19 size it would weight less. Having said that, a few lbs penalty to keep the stock size is totally worth it.
Looks like the stock Carerra T wheels weigh 24.9lbs front and 30.3lbs rear. The RS Spyder wheels weigh 26.3lbs front and 33.2lbs rear.
So while the Meisterwerk GT3 knock off wheels I ordered may be heavy compared to other forged wheels, they're still a solid 2lbs lighter and slight improvement over stock.
I emailed in a few tweaks to my build:
- I originally wanted buckets, but a generous local forum member here let me come by and see his car and the 4ways might be the best option for a "touring" car. I'm not going to race the thing. I will do a few HPDEs, but those stock 4 ways feel great. I still love the idea of buckets, but in reality, a weekend canyon run in the mountains doesn't really justify buckets. Cool factor be damned! Cost savings helps with the decision, too.
- I'm still torn between colors. Chalk is still on top, but IGM looks incredible, too. I normally defer to white, but not feeling it with the 992. GT Silver looks great, too.
- Would love the interior red stitching, but that is another price threshold that I will probably forego.
- GT steering wheel is stock, right? I was going to go for the heated GT wheel, but I don't need a heated wheel for a weekend car.
- I went back to the normal size fuel tank. I don't drive a ton of miles, so a smaller tank helps "turn over" that fuel and keeps it fresh
Scary to see a brand new one being taken apart already, but definitely in very good hands with these guys. It's for a good cause - full PPF wrap + ceramic coatings
Can't wait to start putting some miles on when I get it back next week! I literally just drove it from the dealership straight to the shop.

I have IGM with red details and red stitching. If you have some specific photo request just let me know.
IGM looks so different in different lighting. Almost flat gray in the garage, to white outside, and only sometimes, do you see those hints of blue.
