I'd love to do a Carreras and Coffee meet up once I get my car. Does Toronto have a Carreras and Coffee organization?
I agree, the Carrera T has just enough niche and cool things going for it that it just might retain its value as a special car in the 911/992 lineage. I plan to keep it, though, so values do not matter much. I've wanted a 911 since I was 15, and I specced it as a long-time keeper.
The Porsche True North group puts on a few meets and there's a few others that meet around the GTA.
I feel we got lucky ordering the 24 Carrera T which maintained traditional Porsche touches like the start key and round tach. I think Porsche screwed up on the design interface of the new 992.2 for the sake of VAG parts bin or blending the interfaces of all Porsche models. Sometimes history matters...

I agree. The 992.1's implementation of the analog tach flanked by the digital screens was just enough history meets tech in my opinion, and preserved the history without looking/feeling archaic. The 992.2's digital dash looks just a generic as the rest of the automotive world right now. And the start key is just a huge miss for me, even more so than the digital display. It's a LeMans signature that should have never been toyed with.
I'm really happy with my decision to move forward with building a bespoke 992.1 T when I did. I wholeheartedly believe it will hold a special place in the 911/992 lineage.

I believe one of the reasons they went that route is to be able to slightly overlap the 5 tubes in order to keep the viewing window within the steering wheel unobstructed.
Not a big deal to most drivers, but that was one of early the criticisms of the 992.1 that all the hack car journalists used to recite and repeat.
No 992.2 envy for me. I love my ‘24 T w the center mechanical tach, 7MT, LWCB and ignition key. For speed, my daily S Plaid will leave any current 911 in the dust 😂

You may be right. I also read/viewed a lot of auto journalists complaining about it. It didn't bother me at all during my multiple and extensive test drives. I was always looking at the tach, really. I still think Porsche could have updated the digital screens with the gauges squeezed closer to the center analog tach without removing it completely.
With all these changes in mind, I have a question. I ordered a 2024 T with the intent of selling/ trading my 2023 that now has 6k miles. Now I’m rethinking getting rid of the 2023 and just keeping both. I’d have to make some moves and use money currently getting 5% apr that is for retirement. What would you do? Both T’s are highly optioned with leather, deviated stitching and the 2024 has LWBS. 2024 is GT Silver and 2023 white with lizard interior aerokit and CF roof. I realize these are just base cars and not GT.
Edit: Ive already made down payment on the 2024 and it’s being built in mid June.

You have one already. I'd keep the 2023 and my money invested.
Ps. I'm jealous of the exclusive wheels. It's the only option I was on the fence on and stuck with the standard T exclusive painted wheels. I should've gone with the exclusives...
Wow, just hit, 17,500 blissful miles. With the .2 release info, I’m even more delighted with my 7MT T!
Also, inconel catless DPs are a total game changer with the PSE. I can try to get some sound on YouTube soon.
flaps closed, almost like stock, with slight sounds,
open…..absolute animal!
kline? Definitely please share sound. Did you tune? CEL? Do you have just downpipes or whole exhaust? Looks like a self install, curious how you found it lying on your back.
