992 Carrera T Club
Three pedals or not, and hybrid or not, Porsche will sell every single 911 with ease. Demand is that strong. And we manual purists are a dying breed, so if we bow out, PAG won't feel it. And they know it.

Congrats N from Toronto! I'm in Ajax and we should meet up...
Choosing the 992.1 Carrera T was a smart move as I think we purchased one of the last core 911s with the left key, NA engine with Turbos etc. Should retain its value very well. Received mine in April and already at 4400kms!!!

I agree, the Carrera T has just enough niche and cool things going for it that it just might retain its value as a special car in the 911/992 lineage. I plan to keep it, though, so values do not matter much. I've wanted a 911 since I was 15, and I specced it as a long-time keeper.

There is a GT Silver thread somewhere in the Rennlist archives. I've seen it.
"You don't think Porsche has surpassed Ferrari in general public desirability? Maybe they have or haven't, but it's arguable at least."
I hope you are joking because this is probably the most absurd thing I've read on a car forum in 25 years... good lord, that can't be an actual thought.

First 500 miles, absolutely loving this car. Happy with all my choices as well. The manual in my opinion makes the car special. I’m sure the pdk is amazing, but give me the MT all day. Race tex wheel is awesome. Glad I ended up going with the metal sunroof as well rather than the glass. Also, the extended tank I was iffy about, but it’s been so convenient. Base speakers are not great but it's fine if you’re not really an audiophile. Been missing my 997s since I sold it, but couldn’t be happier with this!

The 992.2 has was shown less than 2 days ago and all these clickbaits with "no manual 911" as a headline. I'll go way out on a limb and predict the following:
1. There will be a manual transmission in the 992.2 lineup.
2. The manual version will be announced before end of calendar year 2024.
3. 992.2 Carrera T will also be announced before end of calendar year 2024 (doesn't take much imagination to link 1 & 2 to get 3).
Porsche has traditionally been much quicker to roll out the models on the "facelift"/.2 versions when looking back over the last 25 years.

My response to the original post about his parking was tongue & cheek. Meant as a joke.

Haha! I hope it does look good. I ordered it sight unseen. I believe @Wilder posted photos of their 911T interior, and that car had GT Silver stitching. It looked very good in the photos.

Those are my photos and yes, GT Silver stitching is the bomb. I highly recommend it.

I see a commission number on the track my dream site. Does that mean she's being built? Squeezing on to the end of this production run huh? 3 milestones left, 68 days until expected arrival.

I'd love to do a Carreras and Coffee meet up once I get my car. Does Toronto have a Carreras and Coffee organization?

I feel we got lucky ordering the 24 Carrera T which maintained traditional Porsche touches like the start key and round tach. I think Porsche screwed up on the design interface of the new 992.2 for the sake of VAG parts bin or blending the interfaces of all Porsche models. Sometimes history matters...

The Porsche True North group puts on a few meets and there's a few others that meet around the GTA.

I'm really happy with my decision to move forward with building a bespoke 992.1 T when I did. I wholeheartedly believe it will hold a special place in the 911/992 lineage.
