Nice! Great minds think alike! How long have you had yours? What's your favorite thing about the car?!

The risk of getting something you might hate when ordering RAS is undeniable. But no person on earth has hated not having RAS.

Sometimes its that simple
My mind was blown, lol. That is probably the simplest answer framework I have ever seen. I need to apply that to alot of decisions lol.

Sounds like you have not read this thread. That's understandable because it is a very long, popular thread (applause). But I can tell you, there are many passionate posts against RAS.

I would drop the RAS (see @Macboy ) and ambient lighting you will love the PDLS+ they are the best lights I have ever had on a car.
Did you ever consider the 7 speed manual as opposed to PDK, it is that feature that lights the car up and gives it it's special character?
Faster away from the lights maybe but nothing like as engaging as the 7 speed box.
Best Devon Racer.
I thought about switching to Manual, but if I am being honest, I want to point and go. Especially when driving in the city and shifting often at low speeds. I am good, lol. I may remove ambient and RAS. I feel like it's nice to have and good when you need it. It is not a must-add. But I mostly want driver-focused options, which stood out to me the most. I am known to bend the corners as they say lol.

I'm not sure, I think you could run into problems with the arm moving on it's own without power. Lots of vibration etc back there. I do recall reading about a way to disable it by disconnecting the steering angle sensor signal, but I didn't look too deeply.

Swapping out the parts seemed easy enough to me to move forward and not worry about being stuck if I *hate* it.

After driving one w/o RAS, my conclusion is just makes the car feel like it has a shorter wheelbase. It doesn’t feel artificial for example like Sport Differential option on Audi’s where you feel like the *** of the car comes out under neath you when you hit the gas on turn ins. Anyway I know this has been discussed to death. If you are on the fence, skip it. Best option of course is to drive with and without and go from there.
I have been trying to test drive one with and one without, but they haven't had any PDK T's in to test. But I know I will love it regardless, I want it to be the best driving car possible if I can help it. Like, make a great car better.

No sport exhaust w/ PDK unless you added it nor sport chrono.

Thanks! Just over $157K USD so about $30K in options. Went a bit overboard but it was my first Porsche and I probably had some pent up aggression from 15+ years of playing around with the configurator.

Also did sunroof, RAS, Bose, pdls+, gloss trim kit, and some other small ones.

For the love of God, will people please stop saying RAS makes parking a 911 easier? If you struggle to park a 911, please call Uber…..

[QUOTE=member67;19382782]Finally took delivery this past Saturday and become a real member of this thread 😂. Ice Grey Metallic over T leather package, SD kit in gloss black, 7MT with a bunch of other boxes clicked. Dropped her off for PPF and Tint but can’t wait to put some real miles down!

The spyder rims have me rethinking my choice of the base T rims.

I called an Uber, and they showed up in a 911 with RAS

I just had to... It's a Friday and we all need a laugh!

@Mr.Bourne Spyder rims are a pain to clean personally I would keep to the standard rims, unless you go for the lightweight rims (Fuch look a likes) that are even easier to clean!
Best Devon Racer.
