Looks like the dates got automatically updated today when i checked . What used to say your manufacturing process will be complete 2/29/24 to be complete now says 3/22/24. And now estimated to 5/21 (used to say 4/28) to arrive in USA. Anyone else have a similar
its ok to wait! Gives me more time to downpay more $$ lol

mine hasn’t changed. Still shows 6/19 delivery date.
Yeah I went with base T rims knowing that I’d likely get aftermarket one day. To the contrary, I know myself too well lol. I couldn’t find specific style I really wanted (I admit I’m different, ha) so looking to get custom rims made where I get to participate in the design….in the works but man, process takes time…😬

Anyone else experiencing any issues with your T?
2024 544 miles.
Got some bad news yesterday I had taken my T for service for an engine light without a code see attached email from service manager.
Good Morning Mr. Carnevale,
We pulled the oil pan down last night into this morning and found metal in the oil.
The engine will need to be replaced, and the next step is looking at parts availability via Porsche North America.
We aren't sure yet, but we are thinking that something is wrong with the Cylinder wall surface material that's coming apart.
We will know better once the engine is out of the car during the replacement and we can tear the engine down a bit.
Your other concern is that the engine will be with a remanufactured engine rather than a new engine.
This is a requirement of Porsche North America unfortunately.
If a "remanufactured" Part is available, we are required to install that component.
If it's not, then we are allowed to put in a "new" part.
This is controlled and mandated by Porsche North America and is uniform across all vehicle manufacturers in my experience.
I'm sorry this is happening, it's a rarity for sure so we don't have a huge amount of information. Please let me know if you have additional questions and we will do our best to answer and assist of course.
Apologetically
What a surprise I never expected to hear my engine was shot , now I wait for Porsche to buy the car back with another allocation for a new T.

Production pics of my Carmine T popped up on TYD this morning!
Lost the tire lottery but don't really care - just happy that it's finally built.

I know Guards Red is classic Porsche but OMG that Carmine color is drool worthy. I always wondered why GTS versions come with Carmine red interior option - I think it's a richer color and dare I say classier.

A couple of thoughts:
I have driven 911s with and without RAS on the road and track. It is important to note the 992 is a larger car than previous generations, the RAS makes it drive "smaller," it feels more agile, but most won't notice in regular driving unless you push it, so speccing depends on your driving style and whether or not you have experienced and liked previous generations, but it is noticeable.
As for getting a PDK, I really think what makes the T special is the analog feel, so MT being offered is a major plus. We may also see the end of MT soon so if you care about resale that may be a factor. If I wanted PDK and was using it more as a daily driver, I probably would have gone for a S and specced it as grand tourer.
I wanted my T to look and feel like the classic Porsches, but I also like driving and sitting in a special environment, so base shape (no wing or sports design except for side skirts, Python Green, MT, but got the T leather package in green, Burmeister, ambient lighting, steering column casing in leather, race tex roof liner, among others. Nice that Porsche gives us options to customize our cars, but unfortunately $$.

We’ve had several warm, sunny days in Denver recently and it has been awesome to be able to get out and drive. Can’t wait until spring is in full swing, and I can get the T back on the track for the season.
Just a quick picture while she’s out of the garage
