Would someone be able to explain the PTS process to me? I’m new to the Porsche world and would love a PTS “T”. (I’m sure there are some out there who believe it’s silly to pay that much for a paint job for a car lower in the 911 range but I don’t care)
From what I read PTS allocations are hard to come by? Who determined this? Is it the dealers that only have a certain number of allocations and they reserve them for their best clients? Or can anyone request it and then it’s up to Porsche to approve/deny? Anything else to consider?

Got it... thanks. Here's to hoping 992.2 will have a T w/ PTS availability!
I am going to go out on a limb here, but I would suspect that quite a few of us 992.1 T owners are hoping that Porsche does not produce a 992.2 T. My SA whom has been with Porsche for multiple decades suspects this is the direction they will go.

PTS allocations are decided by the factory. It's not the same as model trim level allocations though which are decided by factory then by regional sales division which then spreads them out on a dealer by dealer basis. For PTS, you submit your requested build to one or multiple dealers and then they will tell you when they have an allocation available and whether or not that allocation production would fall into one of the PTS windows that the factory opens up. Same thing can happen when some options run low too like AeroKit. There's no special customer status needed for PTS like there is for limited and exclusive models, you just need a little luck and money.
Which is ironic because one of the launch colors for the T was PTS Gulf Blue as part of Porsche's campaign to promote PTS as being more readily available but by the time customers were actually able to order the T, available options became increasingly unavailable.

Apparently the 992 T has outsold the 991 already.

Though Porsche did not produce a 991.1 T. The logic many SAs are using is that the T is only to be produced for one generation and not the other, both gens. Also note, 991.2 T production numbers were rather low, at least for the United States.
Not to be too selfish but I hope you are right this time? Others will have to wait another 6+(?) years. 😪

Here is one of my best sessions driving this weekend, I will post some more later this week.
Watch my dad scream by me near the end in his RS hahaha, makes me look like I was standing still.
Thank you all for watching, and enjoy!
This is shot with no nannies, no hyper smoothing on the GoPro or anything.
I do a warm-up and cool-down lap, at the beginning and end if you want to skip through it, It is about 2:20 where I start going faster.
