992 Carrera T Club
@Evolution1 wow man, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they are willing to take the car back and give you a new allocation.
I hope very much you get a replacement car, Unusual this remanufactured deal never heard of anything like that here in the UK.. Good Luck.

Anyone else experiencing any issues with your T?
2024 544 miles.
Got some bad news yesterday I had taken my T for service for an engine light without a code see attached email from service manager.
Good Morning Mr. Carnevale,
We pulled the oil pan down last night into this morning and found metal in the oil.
The engine will need to be replaced, and the next step is looking at parts availability via Porsche North America.
We aren't sure yet, but we are thinking that something is wrong with the Cylinder wall surface material that's coming apart.
We will know better once the engine is out of the car during the replacement and we can tear the engine down a bit.
Your other concern is that the engine will be with a remanufactured engine rather than a new engine.
This is a requirement of Porsche North America unfortunately.
If a "remanufactured" Part is available, we are required to install that component.
If it's not, then we are allowed to put in a "new" part.
This is controlled and mandated by Porsche North America and is uniform across all vehicle manufacturers in my experience.
I'm sorry this is happening, it's a rarity for sure so we don't have a huge amount of information. Please let me know if you have additional questions and we will do our best to answer and assist of course.
Apologetically
What a surprise I never expected to hear my engine was shot , now I wait for Porsche to buy the car back with another allocation for a new T.

This is concerning for everyone and makes me think that an early oil change and inspection of the oil that comes out, should be on the agenda of all recent purchasers.

So you are in England?
I’d guess they messed up at factory given minimal miles. I know one person in CA that had early major issue with his car and got them to buyback. I would push for it. He’s an auto industry engineer and even he had to press corporate a bit, however. Good luck to u!
It does cover used cars, at least in NJ. The problem with lemon law is that you first have to give manufacturer a number of opportunities to fix things within a certain time period. It’s a process. I’d be pissed if they wanted to use remanufactured parts, but heard that’s what they do these days. What the….

Received my pics yesterday! No idea how it works, but it would be pretty cool if that was also the official production date (feb 29).

RE: Ambient lighting. I have it. Its truly awful. Not bright. Can barely see the colors. I have the system on Mercedes and its crazy good. I would not order ambient again. Others may have a different experience but only thing that did not meet expectation on car.

What about the base audio? Maybe that was ur expectation…lol. Maybe u got Bose MY24? Heard many complain about that also. Maybe Burmester? Man, i was disappointed with Burmester bass quality. But again, some subjectivity to all of this like ambient lighting quality desired….
