Black is undoubtedly a classic 911 colour.
A black 930 Turbo with a huge whale tail was my unaffordable 1980's dream.
The only downside is keeping a black car clean.

Looks pretty fixed; going to not go with this option. Like the fact the removable part can just be replaced if it get scuffed up.

it’s totally removable and in fact is shipped laying inside the car wrapped in the front seat. It’s then installed by dealer upon arrival. I have an extra one.

This is 100% correct. There are threads about replacing with black. The issue is that I've seen is that you can't find a plain black. You can buy the part in primer and then paint it black ($800). Also, it's actually 2 parts. The front lip and then a harder lip below that takes the blow when you bottom out the front.

After two black combined with OCD and getting older…

I have the painted front lip. If you're "beating up" the visible surface of it, you're doing something very wrong. Driveway scrapes affect the bottom surface of the lip, which is not visible unless you're laying on the ground a few inches from it.
