Can we talk roof rack prep. What do you get? what do you see when no track installed? How easy is it to install and remove the rack at the track?

I have dreams of taking long road trips in one of my Porsches some day.

You get little flip up plastic panels that hide where the roof rack thing can clip into. Without it, it's just smooth and you can't use a roof rack, only those suction cup things for like bike mounts

In fact, you lose by deleting the rear seats. As in weight.

Which is why I would delete the seats if I was ordering a T.

Because, y'know, #Ethose
Maybe Lewis and Max could tell the weight difference between a T with back seats and one on without. 99% on this forum, no way in hell.

I'll take rear seat delete since it actually provides a little bit more storage space, but won't get the fixed buckets because I can't access the storage behind the seats.
What you described works the same in a 911 that has rear seats.

Saw a DIY video for it somewhere but for $60 I'd have the factory do it.

The first half of his last line says you get a little bit more storage space because you don't have the seats for legless midgets taking up some of the space there

The rear sits are well shaped to accommodate my small dogs. Just add a fluffy blanket, dog-belts and everybody is happy.

ok, so like my old 996. Those little trap doors always broke! LOL. I replaced mine when I bought the car. Use them with caution, unless they improved them since 1999.

Flap no longer closing fully.

Replacing trap door.

All fixed.

Funny that you call those things in the back seats. For who? Anyone under 50 lbs? On my Ur-T, I removed them when I rebuilt/restored the car.

Yeah. If you think there’s any chance you’ll use it then just get it.

People getting upset about whether others add rear seats or not. Come on gents. They are great for kids. If no kids and you want to take off a few pounds, skip them. Easy peasy.

Have her download the Uber app. Now you're both happy.
