992 Carrera T Club
couldn’t agree more!!
thanks so much!! Will follow up with details on the spec, relatively bare bones, but have been lurking in waiting for months so was very happy to have the shot on goal. I figure I will have the opportunity to spec one to my exact liking eventually
yes indeed - keen eye - the team there made everything seamless

Congrats! Fellow New Yorker? Buffalo? U a Banker with M&T? Only thing I know out there and Niagara Falls, ha. Join us for our 992 T meet near Bear Mtn. NY on 9/9. We have folks coming as far from PA. NOTE: Invitation open to all East Coast 992 T crew. Did it come with the T side decal? Just curious…love how it pops on white T…

Has anyone tuned their T? If so, I'd love to hear from you. I'm considering M Engineering or APR but I'm concerned about changing the character of the factory tune, which I understand is different from the tune used on the base, though it remains unconfirmed and undisclosed by PAG. @tourenwagen I know you were considering it. Did you pull the trigger? Anyone else?

I put a Softronic tune on my 991.2 T. It unlocked a ton of power (combined with Soul cats, it probably added 100 hp). It is a lot of fun - but it also unbalanced the dynamics of the car in some ways. If you floor it, it will break traction in 2nd or 3rd gear, and I am now quickly burning through brake pads and rotors.

I think the additional power available at lower RPMs occurs because the tune keeps the turbos spooled up. (I have my car setup so it uses the stock map on Normal mode and the Softronic map on Sport and Sport+ modes. I can see that cruising on the highway in Normal I have 0 psi of boost, whereas in Sport/Sport+ I have 1-2 psi.) What I notice more than anything - more than the low-end power delivery - is a bigger surge of power around 3000 rpm. It makes the car feel more turbocharged than the stock map.

AGREED! BTW, see that cup? My friend's father actually designed that cup! No kidding. I was shocked when I learned this. I don't think she's still getting royalties though
