Lock date is approaching.
Investment committee outcome: Wife does not like front SD fascia, but will not exercise her veto (thinks that should be a 500 dollar option). Regardless, I said front was not negotiable. She approves an upgrade to RS wheels, which I wasn't expecting! Yay or Nay (shark blue exterior)? She uses her veto on SD rear, says it's a rip off for some plastic trim and plate placement.
Thoughts?

Just received allocation for my first Porsche Carrera T delivery around January 2024. But am I crazy with this minimal build option?

Just because something is free, it doesn’t mean you need to want it. I skipped the storage net because it is cheaply made. I skipped the smoking package because I don’t need an extra coffee mug and I don’t want “smoking package” on my Monroney. I am sure I am in a small minority, but then I’m the only person who needs to like my car.

Did you race touring cars? Or Formulas too? The track has changed a lot, especially in the last 15 years or so.
I like the T, you can drive it in a relaxed way and still have fun. It shines at 7 or 8/10s, still within the law too.

My grandparents had a small Mercedes with a fire extinguisher in the same place. It was a weird look, and it did get in the way if you wanted to put something there. So I also don't recommend it.
I also agree on no RAS (more weight/another thing that can break), no FAL (lots of tall speed bumps around me, never had any problem), no folding mirrors (don't like the look). The car is so loud (it really is) that I don't see a point dropping a lot of $$$ on a better stereo, unless you like listening to music very loudly (I don't, I listen to comedy or the engine).
The entry-level lights are also A-OK. The lighter-silver colored piece on top just makes it look like they are shining in the light, unless you for some reason go up to inspect them.
The option that I am VERY GLAD that I chose is ventilated seats. Leather is a superior material for longevity and feel, and I use the ventilation every single time I drive the car, it feels really nice. Downside is you lose some T-specific style items. Worth it for me (helps that I don't really like a lot of visible branding).
I love the 4-way seats. They're the most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in. I also like that they are lighter, and there are fewer electric motors that can break. Personally I strongly dislike the look of "thigh extenders" or whatever the heck you call those things. My BMW had them. Ugly.
My opinions only, no offense to those who like those options.

My SA has just emailed me to say that the car is due with them on the 6th October but there's a slight delay, could be a few weeks could be longer.
As I know it has been built I'll guess it's now stuck at Emden having missed the boat and they don't know which boat it will be on. I've given up on the thought I could get it this month and will now hopefully have it early November.
