Just got an email from my dealer "Great news -- your car is in port in Baltimore and should be delivered to our dealership by early next week!". After rolling my eyes I sent a note back asking whether he has heard anything about a certification issue causing delays until October -- will post once I hear anything but my sense is that I know more than he does at this point...

Just received an e-mail from our Sales Manager...2021 911 Sales Date 09/30/2021...Of course it is an estimate...Our build has been in San Diego since 09/05 in limbo...Same thing happened to our 2018 Macan GTS.

Welcome to EPA purgatory. My car has been in Houston since 8/20. This is costing Porsche millions to have cars just sitting in port. Someone in Porsche screwed up here, they could have submitted the 2021 paperwork a long time ago since no changes were made to the drivetrain.

It's definitely not only Porsche, two years ago I had my LR Discovery weeks sitting in the port because it was the first shipment of Diesel engine for MY 2019. Finally got it late September that year.

Not the first time cars have been held up at port. The Cayenne e-Hybrids sat at port for 4+ months: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...ay-thread.html

Still Waiting
I'm new here , and I'd like to thank you all for providing me with hours of entertainment while recovering from shoulder surgery. I ordered my 992 C2S in Aventurine Green back in May on the 15th. The Dealer required a 12000 dollar deposit. I'm not complaining, but seemed a bit higher than what I've seen typically. Less money later. Anyway, I spoke with my sales guy this morning, and asked if we were still on schedule, he assured me we that we were. My V250 was 9/4, and my U014 entry to Port Benicia scheduled for 11/13. Originally they were telling me the first of the year. I'm really hoping his information is accurate. It's been a long wait and I'm thinking there's light at the end of the tunnel. Only other time I've waited this long for a vehicle, was in 95 when you had to wait five months for a new Harley. Thanks Babyray
