I don’t either, but that’s why I mentioned it in my earlier post. I know they have that white coating on some parts, so that should help somewhat.

We are approximately four miles from the fires in the Sequoias. It was suggested we dump the water in the animal troughs because it gets real acidic with the ash. Wouldn't want my car sitting under ash for any time. Hopefully in a month it will all just be a bad memory.

Thanks! The more I see the Aero Kit, the more and more I fall in love with it. It's a perfect fit with the RS wheels.

I know the Siem Confucius was the 2nd boat to arrive here with 2021s onboard--a bunch of cars have been in Davisville for 3 weeks already. Definitely aware of the emission approval issue but wanted to know what others are hearing in terms of timing.

Kills me to think of it sitting out there for days in the pouring rain!

Me too. Talked to my SA in CT on Wednesday and he said they were now thinking it would be "more like mid-month". No real explanation.

Exactly. Very annoying. I've just been relying on rennlist as the info seems to break first here hah

That seems to be how things have been for 20 years. I know there are a few dealerships/SAs who are up-to-date, but for the most part it seems that they are generally less informed that people who frequent Rennlist or other forums. I know it's easy for me to say, but it seems like it would make sense, if you were a SA, that getting on Rennlist would be a key part of your day. The questions that come up here could be researched and then you'd have so much more expertise available for your customers.

So true. I even mentioned something I heard on rennlist to my dealer and he gave me the old "ohh don't trust those Internet forums" talk. Funny how they can't keep up with the times. With that said, I also think they just don't care.. They get their commission regardless of when we get out cars (as long as we actually purchase them obviously).

I think this depends on if ur SA is an enthusiast or not. I know a few that are independently wealthy and do this for fun... they are great.

others are just pawns trying to fill quotas and are very disengaged. The entire dealership setup is prone to be very malignant.

Agreed. I guess my guy is just trying to fill the quota. Oh well, he gets us the cars so I can't complain too much.

Just a datapoint last year... the Estimated date of release was 9/6, looks like that got pushed back to 9/16 and then 9/20. The epa actually certified the 2020s on 8/27 and they were Actually released on 9/3.. but there was no indication on the epa website of certification until much later. The only reason people knew on 9/3 is because their dealer got notification of shipping.
