2021 Delivery Date?

The SAs are all over the place. Mine still expects my car today (it's a 2021). He advised me that's how it shows in their "system". That's even after I advised him what the Rennlisters are saying. I won't hold my breath though.

Just a datapoint last year... the Estimated date of release was 9/6, looks like that got pushed back to 9/16 and then 9/20. The epa actually certified the 2020s on 8/27 and they were Actually released on 9/3.. but there was no indication on the epa website of certification until much later. The only reason people knew on 9/3 is because their dealer got notification of shipping.

My dealers sheet has the on sale date for every model. All C/4/4s/s models have a Porsche on sale date of 9/30. I assume, Porsche won't release any cars for sale until that date even with EPA's prior approval.
Not sure why that is as they have a lot of money tied up in produced cars waiting to be released.

My car just left the factory, does anyone know how to view images of the car as it was being built?

Hi- I am getting ready to place my order for a 992 -- I currently have a black 991, and am debating getting black again or going with chalk... Here is my build codePMFGHMQ1 -- is there anything else you would add?
Thank you!
Thank you!

My dealer said they expected to have the car a few days earlier and would do the PPF and ceramic coat before the sale date which would save a few days. Would be cool.

I thought long and hard about a carbon fiber roof. In the end I spent the large sum it costs on other options because it can't save more than a few pounds over a standard aluminum roof. If you like the look though, and does it look fantastic with chalk, why not do a high quality carbon fiber wrap on the roof?

[QUOTE=markchristenson;16897526]Weird, given that deposits must be returnable in California. Great that you found an alternative![/QUOT
I had the same experience with SoCal dealers and went out of state too. My car will be delivered late November (I guess).
How do you plan to handle the out of state registration?

I don't think the wraps look as good as carbon fiber... if I didn't do the carbon, I would do the glass top.

Its easy to register out of state cars specially new, just make appointment with DMV so you don't have to wait in long lines
