Agreed. It just blows my mind Porsche can't give a definite date. And even more so that it happens almost every model year.

I think a huge issue is not even the delay, it’s just the uncertainty and lack of info. It would be safe to say most of us are successful in our careers and part of that success likely comes from discipline and ability to manage deadlines. I think that’s the part that bothers me most is the uncertainty.

Very true. It is very frustrating that we are handing them 150k average and they jerk us around. Unfortunately it seems Porsche doesn't care as they figure we will sit on our hands and wait for the cars. They aren't wrong though. I mean, for the price, what else is out there that comes even remotely close to the 911? Frustrating nonetheless.

What are you even talking about? The EPA doesn't work for Porsche. Porsche has approximately ZERO control over when the EPA approves their model year vehicles. What business sense does it make for them or their dealers to limit their inventories and slow the process of a customer taking delivery of their new $150k vehicle? Help me understand why they would not want to provide supply for products with obvious demand. Oh, BTW, we are still in the middle of a pandemic, in case you forgot.

The EPA has denied in writing to several of us on this thread that it is the hold up - the EPA implies that it is Porsche. We have shared those email responses in this thread.

Wow. Do you work for Porsche or something. Seem a bit hostile there.. You act like you're 100% sure that its all the EPA fault and none of Porsches. I never said that they intentionally slowed the process down. Its the lack of communication about the whole process and the lack of real info that they give the dealers. They must know more than they are saying but they don't. And the pandemic seemingly has nothing to do with this as this happened when the 992 was released.

Also, just texted my SA. He said their end now shows Oct. 30 as the expected date now. He thinks that they are just being cautions and still expects the car to be released on the 9th. Somehow I doubt that..

I think they should just rename their app to Track Your Nightmare.

Pandemic or not, Porsches have been delayed by epa Approval for years. I have been an early adopter of several other non Porsche and Have not had this issue. vag is doing something wrong when there are 2021 paganis that are receiving epa approval before us. Business do a lot of dumb things that cost them lots of money, ur giving Porsche way too much credit.

Hopefully this information is not correct, but did anyone get a message from their SA/SM stating Porsche has moved the delivery dates for 2021's to 11/06? Might want to check in morning with your dealer...
