2021 Delivery Date?
#991
Total of 98 Showing on Cars.com but none with pics in the US. Up from 88 2021 992s that cars.com showed on 5th Nov when I checked. So someone is posting something....on their websites.
TDY still shows 11/13 release date as before which has been showing across the forum I think after the original move date from 11/6 about a week and a half ago.

Same here - my 992 Targa 4S is in the port in Baltimore and TYD still showing 11/13 as release date (also showing 11/13 as delivery date....). Spoke with my SA on 11/6 and he confirmed new date of 11/13 for certification. Don't know that there's anything concrete to base that on other than their internal database. Doubt that EPA or California commit to anything, so wouldn't bet that it won't move out again (and again, and again....).

Like dealer websites, dealers list "incoming" vehicles on Cars.com, Car Gurus, etc. Don't know that increasing listings mean anything more than additional "inventory" sitting at port waiting for certification.

Regarding delivery, like most have mentioned, in the past the TYD date would be universally pushed out at this point another week and that doesn’t seem to be the case...makes me wonder, is CARB certification only an issue for cars heading for states that acknowledge CARB standards, for example I’m in VA and we don’t fall under CARB, so could a staggered release, I.e. people in states like VA get theirs earlier, be possible? For those of you I might be triggered by this, I want to stress; I AM GENUINELY ASKING BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW, not simply insinuating anything without reference...

No answers here, but as of a minute ago my TYD is still showing release from port 11/6 and arrival at dealer 11/13.
Crappy TYD application/data update process? Likely.
Are the cars really going to to start to roll to dealers this week? Maybe.
Are my dates going to be pushed at some point this week? Probably.
Part of me thinks we may not actually see these until January. Why? No reason other than trying to set my expectations in such a way that if it arrives sooner then I can be excited :-)

Thanks - I don't have any idea either. Hope you're correct. Lots of speculation out there regarding what's going on. Wish there was a way to get some hard data and reliable information. It's frustrating, and seems that Porsche has more issues with getting timely certification than most other manufacturers.

FWIW, the TYD system appears to be updated/refreshed at midnight Stuttgart time on a daily basis. (5:00 pm Pacific Time) The last two times my "Estimated" delivery date was bumped out a week, TYD showed this after 5:00 pm Pacific Time on the Monday before the "Estimated" Friday date. Porsche dealerships have access to an "Event Key" tracking capability within their "Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System" which seems to be refreshed on something closer to real time. Beyond that I'm guessing they are just as much in the dark as we are with TYD.

I expect tomorrow evening our TYD will update with a new date. Mine still shows leaving Port on 11/6 but no actual date. Typically this means another delay.

Greetings to you car brother (different wheels). How long have you been sitting at port up there? Hopefully you’ve just spilled some positive news. 👍👍🤞🤞

it arrived at the end of august on the Siem Confiscius. I believe that was the second load of 2021’s to come into NA. Fingers crossed there’s no misunderstanding here.
