Yeah Nov 6 release to Nov 12 (original) delivery is too tight, so I'm re-scheduled for Nov 18.

Once your car arrive at Pecla, you have to wait at least another 3 weeks to schedule pick up of your car, they only do 2 deliveries in a day, 3 days a week Wednesday to friday only

If they think the car will be released Nov 6 (+ 1/2 days delivery from port) and they scheduled me for Nov 18 then it's definitely not 3 weeks.

Looks like paying extra for a PEC delivery, gets you a significant delay. And they're putting you in the Customer Dissatisfaction Waiting Room, at no extra charge! What nice guys! How thoughtful of them!

So sounds like someone had problems teleworking or checking their inbox due to COVID19 this Spring/Summer or maybe both had replace personnel who were critical to the certification processes at some point. We'll never know for sure the full story. But this date seems/is believed to be firm and dealers have been given the go ahead to start scheduling deliveries and should start seeing transport schedules now for delivery of their cars. I was hoping to get my car in around 30 Oct but with the confirmed official release date set by PCNA for 6 Nov 2020 for all MY21 992s; it will delay delivery a little bit. As all cars will go thru PDI as they get to port but will not be released to dealerships and PEC until 6 Nov 2020 mine will arrive on 19 Oct then get processed and que'd up for delivery/transport. Means that I will now l likely see it around Thanksgiving week. Have a bit more to be thankful for...I guess so it's all good.
Nov 6th date seems to the the one....
SA said cars will be held in port until 6 Nov and then pushed out for delivery. EPA/Govt certification has been set for then and ports are allowed to release cars already there for delivery then and those that arrive thereafter without delay. So I guess when you get your car now is more dependent on where you are and what type of delivery you have.

Just getting the cars out of the port will take a while. I hope they do it FIFO so those who waited the longest get theirs first.

Given they way they have handled this so far, I'd expect LIFO. My car has been there since mid-August..I'm sure it is in the very back of the lot. With nice flat spots on the tires!

Don't forget the rodent in the engine and the stray bird pooping...lol...none of this will matter a month from now...

A number of folks keep mentioning that it is "perfectly fine" and "totally normal" for these cars to sit outside for months without maintenance or being driven but I just don't buy it one bit.
