>> ARE sanctioned Porsche Partners using sanctioned Porsche PIWIS that do this work. Refer to the post I have copied below

Please stop drinking the Kool-Aid. I am also a PPN member and can assure you that what 'some people' are passing off as 'official' is most certainly not. It's also likely the reason that 'certain' providers are requesting an NDA be signed before doing the procedure - they are talking out of both sides of their mouths - there is nothing 'sanctioned by Porsche' in the USA. Again, feel free to pay for the procedure if it suits you, but please stop regurgitating fear and false information regarding other options.

This is impossible. You need to add the FEc/swap code to the gateway to activate it.

Is there a decent catalogue of known tweaks available on the 992 using piwis other than reading through this entire thread and Siberian's other coding thread? It would be really nice to have a single post to reference. Here's what I've found from reading through the two threads

Confirmed Available
- Opening windows/sunroof with key fob (link)
- # of blinks produced by a one-tap of the turn signal (link)
- Adding PSE-style valve control to non-PSE equipped cars (link)
- Enabling Matrix LED functionality in US cars (link)
- Changing speedo (link) and tach needle (link) colors (perhaps must be done as a pair?)
- Disabling seatbelt chime (link) and airbag activated warning (link)
- Enable passenger mirror lowering in reverse (link)
- Turn on the rear light bar alongside DRLs during daytime driving (link)
- Changing the names of drive modes (e.g. Sport Plus -> Track, Individual -> Race)
- Adding/removing Power Steering Plus (link)
- Change the car silhouette on the splash screen (link) (anyone know if an Aerokit silhouette is available? I'll check this next time I play around with it)
- There's also another steering profile setting (link)? John reported steering was more direct (I assume that means faster ratio?)
- Prevent retractable spoiler from deploying (e.g. after Aerokit retrofit, to eliminate error messages) (link). But this seems to be a different/hacky way versus how a dealer does it?

Seemingly Impossible
- Disabling auto-start-stop
- Adding driving modes (e.g. Sport, Sport+, Individual) to a car without Sport Chrono

Wish List
- Increase idle time before the driver must tap the accelerator for the car to start moving again automatically with ACC/InnoDrive
- Get rid of the ugly unlit section when the brakes are applied while the headlights are off. (Maybe the best option here is to enable the light bar with the DRLs, since the full light bar lights up when the headlights are on?)
- I vaguely recall reading that on some older/other models (maybe 991.2, or 718?) it's possible to switch to the GT3 (or GT4) electric power steering calibration profile. Anyone looked into this on the 992, or know what it actually did (different ratio? more force feedback?)
- Tweak Matrix LED functionality to be more aggressive. They seem to only turn on when there are no street lights around, even when there are only a few lamps and they aren't very bright. Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż
- The GT3 RS shows actual numeric tire temperatures rather than just the bars. Can that be activated on other models?

Yes I tried some time ago to centralize some of the most popular coding options but they're spread all over the place by car model. I had asked the Super Mods to see if we could create a new Forum on PIWIS but given that they're not official Porsche versions that was not allowed. As to Launch, Autel and others I sold my x431 some time ago and heaven't kept up even though at one point @dollarlongnecks I think and I were thinking of putting together a concordance of commands between Launch and PIWIS but you either do that or drive the car. So since I drive my car all year round it would be for a project for those owning garage queens.

I'm gonna say this last post was one of the most helpful I've ever seen. Even though I have PIWIS and have done all these that I want. A central place where it is in list form with link to "how to" instead of this so and so posted it somewhere. Coding is daunting enough and post like this really help. Thank you

@John Mclane et al and I have put together quite a list of possible mods over the years but I haven't really thought about HOW to centralize them

Here are two top resources

https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1206...ing-992-a.html

https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1275...peedo-tip.html

If you have suggestions as to how to consolidate these and others please let us know

Ideally, a wiki page going over the modules and options. The problem is there's a great deal of changes throughout the MY and piwis versions.

About steering feel, I changed that on the 992 and posted here. It changes the steering feel on sport and furthermore in sport mode (superdirekt). There's a similar setting for brakes but that I could not notice any difference.

Mate, no 992 to code. My coding is Stone Age era with the 718.
Eventually I'll update things to be able to code the cayenne.

Glad to be of service. I mostly wanted it for myself, since I'm planning to fudge around in there this weekend and didn't want to scour the forums over and over again to find that one post that explained how to do xyz. I'll try to keep it updated as folks find and share more tips and tricks. Perhaps this would be worth a locked thread in the DIY forum so it isn't buried 500 posts into this thread?

Great collation, but if someone is looking for a particular tweak for his Cayenne or Panamera he won't find it here. BTW a huge trove of PIWIS coding data is to be found there as well as the Macan Forum. We've toyed with the idea for several years as to how to centralize it. But then again I don't think any of us are librarians

The most interesting things are all in German and I would need a friend who reads German or a lot time to translate all the coding options. There are a couple of things I would like to try on the 991.2 including recoding the LED lights like everyone wants to do on the 992.

@krburrell, for ze German menus you can use Google translator on you mobile phone.
A little clunky but it works, see first column of text on the example below:

Here's another thing for the wish list... On the tire display in the gauge cluster, the GT3 RS shows actual (numeric) tire temperatures. My car only shows a bar for each tire with a range from blue (32°F) to red (212°F). Anyone poked around for this functionality? Wouldn't surprise me if it's only available on MY23+ cars since that's when the 3RS came around, but I'm holding out hope for my MY22.

I was planning to do some spelunking around in PIWIS today but got a surprise visit from family for the weekend, so I'll have to find another time
